I wonder if Microsoft will create a fake online petition for a £30 refund for existing xbox one owners, like they did for the reinstating of used game fees, no I thought not !
@PS4andXoneGamer Its Still more expensive and less powerful than the PS4 I agree there will be a small spike but once PS4 supply catches up with demand, then I think it will carry on the way it has been i.e. the gap will continue to widen.
What are they going to bring out next a DNA scanner which uses your DNA as a maze for you to play pac man in. Because I cant help but wonder why Google wants to scan my house, to use it for games seems a little bit too absurd to be the real reason, more like its part of their home automation plan together with cameras in every room, details about your utility usage, how often you take a shit and every other bit of information about your private life they can dig up. Googles little Trojan attempt needs to be significantly more sophisticated than a game of virtual hide and seek.
Im not a Wii U owner but I quite like the graphical style of the levels not sure you can rate a game down based on the fact the level designs don't have the surrealist slant of Mario and Rayman, Im not disputing the score as I haven't played it but surely a games graphical style falls under the category of personal taste and as such, should not be part of the review
Great observations as always Danny i especially agree with the bit about fanboy and counter fanboy arguments, Im a big long term fan of Nintendo since the days of the NES but I don't think the Nintendo fan base is doing Nintendo any favours with their denial that the Wii U was anything but an ill conceived product and all they need is more games to get it out of its current crisis.
I will have to disagree on your point that Nintendo makes games to sell consoles tho, it was after all Nintendo who first developed the strategy of selling consoles at a loss to make money on the games themselves. but having said that I think Sega has shown that dropping out of the console race and just concentrating on licensing their IP wasn't the wisest move, altho they could probably have ill afforded a third commercial console failure in quick succession.
Nintendo just needs another Wii i.e. a sub £200 console with a simple intuitive and (cheap) controller, and a recognisable intuitive name like the Wii 2, they already have such a console and all it would take is a bit of rebranding and dropping the controller or at least mandatory support for it, to drop the price below the £200 barrier. They just need to stop faffing around, call a board meeting and make some decisive decisions !
Quote "The price reduction suggests that stock of the console is now beginning to smooth out and become readily available in European retail channels."
@pspearman @de-astroturfer In the meantime keep testing it till the bug arises, of course I should have learned by now that basic comprehension and the concept of sarcasm are above you.
@MrMan2000 @de-astroturfer Of course all those things I mentioned are a problem, you really think all those casuals who bought a Wii really know what the Wii U is, I don't think they do I think changing the name to the Wii 2 will make it very clear and if PR needs one thing its clarity, if you think PR doesn't play a massive part in the success of a product, then I would say you are very naive Yes all those things you have mentioned are a problem too, but Nintendo can't just turn around do all that without spending millions where as the changes Ive highlighted can be done relatively quickly and relatively cheaply, its either give it a go or start again from scratch and risk another multimillion right off in quick succession !
