@lozengez: I just want to go on record as saying I no longer agree with that original assessment.

Pokemon Sword and Shield was pretty underwhelming. It was kind of the point where I feel like this game series might have died for me.

I think I am less likely to try another Pokemon game, especially as I'm getting older and want to be more selective about games I give my time to.

@speeny: Only 10 more days, Speeny! (I think.)

Well I'd like to pick up Mario Maker 2 yet, and I guess there have been sales on Mario games for Mar10 day. I could probably stand to own a couple of more chill games too.

@i_p_daily: Yikes, well I'll have to see what I think when I pick up a new system. Your idea about the user being able to customize the way the screen scrolls and what content should be shown is a good one.

Really, it is disappointing to hear this most recent update isn't liked. I felt like things were on the rightvtrack circa 2018.

I've had quite a lot of gaming burnout the last few years. I had quite a few gaming moments in 2018, but these became marred by life drama and an inadequate Internet connection. I played the crap out of my first Switch at launch in 2017, but aside from the first two months with my new one early this year there's been a lot of detachment. I once again had a lot of Internet trouble last year, ruining Steam and WoW Classic for me.

I'm pretty eager to get back into gaming this year. The way I see it, it's time to take a step back and do things I want to do, and stop obsessing over all the things not going right in my life.

I heard AoE4 is in the works, but it's probably a long ways off yet. Will supposedly return to the popular medieval setting of 2.

I know Command & Conquer is also getting a remake. Those were pretty great, what I played of them anyway.

I haven't tried the second one yet, but I was in the minority that kind of liked Halo Wars. I feel like the genre will experience a mini revival, on PC as well as console.

The soundtracks for both Hotline Miami games are superb. Some are more chill and others are more frantic.

I'll eventually be getting it. I will likely play through the original game first though. I played it a bunch back when it came out, but never finished it. Both games are definitely on my list.

I think this game will score well. Especially since the original had time to reach people, I think now more people are aware that the games are a thing than just people who like XBox systems and platformers.

I liked quite a few games I had, but the biggest ones coming to mind are Halo MCC, Ori and the Blind Forest, Dead Rising 3, and...I still want to give Sunset Overdrive another shot.

I haven't gotten to play Halo 5 or Crackdown 3 yet, but I have a feeling I'll like both a lot actually.

I'll probably buy a couple of favorites from this gen digitally yet. I'm not sure if I want to go physical or digital for Series X games.

I'm curious how much has changed. I disliked the XBO UI in early 2014 or so. When I owned an XBO X in 2018 I thought it had improved massively.

Well, maybe by the time the Series X drops it'll be in better shape and all of this won't matter much lol.

I spent the morning going through more things and throwing them out. I spent a lot of the day working on that.

I still feel conflicted at moments, but I know it's time I put this chapter of my life beyond me and move away.

I guess the sooner I rip that bandage off and start over, the better chance I have of finding a life I want while I'm still young enough.
