@dhuanco Your right it has been around for years. And its becoming such an issue of late because the games companies have turned their attention to eliminating it of late.

The reason I havnt bought any new racing games is because theres nothing better than Gran Turismo 5 yet. Probably won't be bettered until Gran Turismo 6.

"NFC is another innovation introduced to games not because it makes the experience better, but because it is easy for publishers to monetize." That sums it all up well! Theres a lot more business in gaming these days. Its replacing innovation.

Well I hope the bugs will be ironed out for this DLC by the time the HexBox exclusivity runs out.

Its worrying to hear this. Its a great series that made its name on its phenomenal single player experience and now its turning its back on that. Obviously because multiplayer makes more money for publishers. I say again, its worrying...

I wonder if the games publishers ever consider the benefit of the used games market. Like for example, I would never have taken a risk on some games at full price. I bought oblivion second hand but liked it so much I bought Skyrim at launch day as soon as the shop opened. That was one new sale they gained from the used market.

Everything I hear about PS Vita just confirms that it is just plain bad value for money. Sony and the retailers aren't bending people over a barrel, they are trying to. All people have to do to not be bent over a barrel is not buy these things. That's what I'm going to do anyway.

I personally don't share her opinions on how a game should be but she has as much right to an opinion as me or anyone else. I think the game publishers share some of the blame in this kind of gamer's response though because they do encourage people to take ownership of games in the way they are marketed for instance.
