I bought a pre-owned DS and after playing on it for a bit it feels really loose. If you press it some ways it makes a popping sound as if it's getting caught on something and then sliding past.

I compared it to my brothers DS and it definatly feels different. My brothers is pretty tightly fitted and feels really smooth. Now I only bought it today and I've still got the receipt and box and stuff.

It's really annoying me and the diagonals really do suck. It's definatly different to my brothers. Should I take it back and get it exchanged and take my brothers down as well to show a comparison?

I bought it from GAME in the UK if that matters or anyone else has had an issue like this.

Well I'm going to buy one anyway, I won't be buying Metroid prime hunters though, I played it before and hated it. Just didn't like the control scheme, I definatly wouldn't put it anywhere near KB/M. But the PSP control scheme sucks ass for FPS as well to be fair. I managed to swindle my girlfriend out of one anyway since she didn't get me anything for my birthday. Swish.

There seems to be quite a few games I'd like to play now, KHs, Zelda, Pokemon, Mario Kart, wario ware... But I'm a bit cautious of the touch screen since all the games I've seen using it always appear to be gimicky (like the wii) and would play better with a normal controll scheme. That, and would I play it as much given I've got a PSP. Hm..

I've already got a psp and I use it to play movies, psp games and old PS1 Games.

I'm tempted to buy a DS for DS games, I wouldn't buy any GBA games though, so don't mention that.

Is it really worth buying the DS as well as the PSP or is one handheld enough? I mainly play RPGs, odd shooter, dungeon crawler etc, but I find RPGs work best on handhelds.

I'm tempted to buy it for Zelda, Pokemon, Mario kart.

By upgrading WoWs graphics engine to rival that of Conan it would shut out half of it's user base.

I'ld say just don't game on a netbook. You can game on them but i wouldn't recomend using it as your main gaming PC. I think the original CS, WoW and W3 should work well, though you'll have to hack the pixels to get most games to work so that you can play at a lower resolution than what the game prescribes as minimum.markop2003
Uch **** that. I'd only use it for traveling and stuff. Since my main rig is huge and a PITA to move around.

I'm looking for a netbook I could play some older games on.

I'm talking CSS, D2, WoW, W3, WC, (hopefully D3 when it comes out maybe). But nothing majorly graphicaly intense.

What sort of netbook would I be looking to get? Would I be alright with an intergrated? I've never used laptops before and I know intergrated on a desktop is abysmall but I want to hear first hand experience of playing these older games on basic laptops. Only looking to spend £300 or so.

I've got an 8gig (got it for £12) and a 4 gig I bought originally for my PSP for £50, I run out of space quite a lot. I thought there were already 16gb cards out though? And they're a hell of a lot cheaper than £160. Yeah, quick ebay later. £30 from ebay. No thanks sony.
