In an interview with infinity ward, they asked why their games are so linear, and they replied because they think it ruins the gameplay, so that's why there is no destrutible environments, multiple paths to objective etc
[QUOTE="dedumdedoo"]Jesus, all these negative comments. In my opinion you guys are all probably gonna change your mind a few weeks before release.Artosa
I don't think so, there is much better (and more original) modern warfare games coming out next year such as arma 2 and operation flashpoint 2, cod4 was crap and mw2 will be
Yeah I'm looking out for those games, but the Call of duty series have been known for their arcadiness where as the games you mentioned are pretty releastic if not focusing on that factor.
[QUOTE="unknown37"][QUOTE="gunswordfist"]I SERIOUSLY doubt Xbox 720 will be out in two years...gunswordfist
I hope notYeah I want this generation to last for about 10 more years. haha me too...I just bought my 360, don't want to buy another in a couple years time
1. Activision is evil and COD needs to end. There should never have been more than one Call of Duty game in the first place.
2. Infinity Ward had the potential to be truly great FPS developers. They wasted that potential by repackaging their first game (while newbifying it) again and again every 2 years. What a shame. Instead of being one of the greats, they are contributing to the death of the genre.
3. This franchise being popular is proof that mainstream gamers don't value creativity and are willing to buy the same game every year if properly marketed and hyped.

my thoughts exactly. they keep on dressing up the same basic, linear invisible wall shooter with shiny graphics and get people frothing at the mouth over it. they must be rubbing their hands together theyve found a formula that needs little or no innovation yet will sell millions with each installment. im not denying the mp aspect is well done but the sp needs a serious over haul.
They must be doing something good if their games have been selling so well
