I've seen three or four posts saying "SSBB is gonna be a contendor, but it can't win GOTY against Gears2, MGS4, Ninja Gaiden 2, GTAIV, etc"

2007 was IDENCTICAL!

Guys look at the facts here. Every gaming site/magazine is absolutely raving about brawl. The scores so far (from the most credible of sources) are 9.5/10, 9.5/10, 9.3/10, 10/10, 10/10, 10/10, 10/10.

FAMITSU gave brawl 10/10.....o.o....plus another 3 AAAA scores.

This game is apparently really good, and I'd hate to see you fanboys get severely owned by Nintendo like last year.

Super smash graphics are something very strange. Every gen, the graphics in SSB is a mix of technical profiency and style, and as a result, the visuals age very slowly. I think most of us agree that in motion, melee is a decent looking game. It's a combination of cartoony style, solid 60 fps and nice character models that keep these games relatively timeless.

People, if SSBB were to be made on the PS3 or 360, i would bet you, it wouldn't look much different. How much could it improve?

Doesn't anyone remember? About 6 months ago when the first gameplay screens of SSBB came into circulation, almost everyone here on SW refused to believe the wii could handle the graphics shown in the screenshots.

All you heard, as soon as someone saw the screenshots, was "LOLOL TEH WII CANT HANDLE THAT LAWL DOWNGRADE CONFIRMED!1!!!!shiftelevenONE!1.

Now that there are dozens of gameplay vids out, with absolutely no downgrade and gorgeous visuals, I'm seeing threads that are bashing SSBB's graphics.

So first it was.."these graphics are too good, the real game is gonna look like Red Steel." and now...it's "Lol well it doesn't even look good of course it isn't downgraded :roll:"

There's just no winning here.

Well, except for everyone with a wii. All of THEM win. It's just that no one will recognize it...cept me.
