Seeing how the ATI series 2XXX flopped big time, XBOX's gpu isnt all that great either, better than PS3, but not that much better, something similar to 2600PRO.

Anyone that has a decent job can afford a 400$ every 5-6 years, for god sakes its US its not Zaire. And 6 years is a long time in terms of technology.

Thats why when the console is about to come out, you stick inside the absolute best GPU and CPU and crapload of ram, its costly in the beginning but the technology gets really cheap real fast and it helps longevitiy of the console while having the bragging rights to better looking games easier to develop. Sony sticks a modified 8800GTX in the PS3 and 1gb of ram PS3 easily lasts until 2016 with games looking better and better and it still looks decent by 2016. Ease of life for developers as they dont have to optimize the living crap out of games, and games release quicker and looking better, console starts selling better than the less powerful console, and wins.

That would be great if they can pull it off and not have a lot of issues, I personally think they will have a load crap of issues and it will get sorted out maybe in by 2012 they should have just made the step down to 32nm as it is a lot easier and there is still a benefit going from 40nm. Hey if they can pull it off more power to them and it would be great for us consumers, all I know is they had serious problems even at 40nm.

I mean it always seems like he is chucking up contested shots and ends up with 9-24 fg's and free throws to pad his stats, while Gasol shots a great percentage and always seems to let the game come to him,and I know Pau has a few times said that he doesnt like the amount of shots Kobe is shooting one-on-one and wants the offense run more through himself and Bynum.

Pau Gasol typical night 23 points 9-15fg 5-6 ft's 14 rbs 4 assists and 2 blocks

Is Bryant the more talented player, that I dont question, but Gasol is more important to LA than Bryant, very effecient plays low post defense, and neither guy won anything without another, Gasol and Bryant were both bounced in the first round for number of years. But since Pau is coming into his own and is at the moment the best big in the league, and Bryant has slowed down with all the injuries and mileage, IMO the best player on the Lakers is Gasol as evidenced by last years finals.
