got the enhanced version of this game because so many people have raved about it.ive been playing it for about a couple of hours now and no matter how hard i try i just cant seem to get into it.it feels rather tedious and boring to me so far.but like ive said ive only played a couple of hours can anyone tell me if the game gets better as you play?i just dont see the appeal of this game....

Boring how? Its probably all those Michael Bay movies. If you are not emptying magazine after magazine into something, its boring?

Last time I checked GTA 4 used 3.1GB for itself. Most other games take 1.5GB. Still, 8GB is there when I need it.

I would get an Athlon x4 640 + Gigabyte 870A-UD3 + 4GB DDR3 Kingston Value RAM + Antec Two Hundred + 6870.

Update: I've fiddled with the BIOS and made sure Cool n Quiet is set to Auto and power management in 7 is set to balanced with the HDD shutoff option disabled and link state power management disabled. Temps have now dropped to just over 35 degrees and the included fan is spinning at 1300RPM.

I've just installed a Thermaltake Contac for my Phenom 965 (C3 stepping/125 w) and I've set it up so the exhaust fan is just under and blowing air up towards the top exhaust fan in my Antec Two Hundred. Idle temps are 40 degrees and load is under 50 (after a bit of light testing with Fear 2); I've spread the thermal paste into a thin layer with a bit of card. Are these about right?

I'll follow the manual. Slop a bit of paste on top of the CPU, and then attach the cooler.

I'm replacing the stock cooler of my 965 which is deafening at 6000RPM with the Hyper 212+. How do you apply the TIM? A small pea shape on the CPU? A line of TIM along the aluminium pipes of the heatsink? Both? I'm using the included TIM, but looking on Arctic Silver's website they recommend a pea size blob. Advice?

maybe im thinking about this a little to much. its for my dad im paying for it.

let me put it this way. my dad right now has a intel Dual core 2GB DDR2 RAM 9800GT 512MB

later on i was to build him a new rig which will be a Athlon II x2, x3, x4 or Phemon II x4 ( in otehr words get him a AM3 mother board) with 2GB or 4GB RAM DDR2 or DDR3 and give him my HD 4850 is 600w PSU over kill for it? or is a 550w just fine?

acsam12304

650. Then you won't need to upgrade the PSU.

[QUOTE="GTR12"]

[QUOTE="C_Rule"]Wow, wish we could get RAM that cheap in Australia....C_Rule

You just want RAM cheap, why not everything?

Well everything else too of course, but I looked up that RAM on an Aussie site, and it's nearly double the price.

Only one place to shop in Australia - MSY. 8GB kit is $122 for a cheaper brand, $142 for Kingston.
