Beat 'em When it Counts!

just an update from the last lessard game, fostman got a 2 game suspension, not too bad. so now that the first 2 rounds are over, the ones that place you in an appropriate tier, round 3 counts for cities. our 3rd game tonite was against lessard and fostman is fresh off his suspension. the game was tight for the first half, 0-0, but a little ways in the 2nd half fostman popped one in. now were trying to hold the 1-0 lead and they are intense. once again the ref is calling almost nothing and they're getting frustrated, yappin'. this isn't a swimming pool go dive somewhere else! hey shut up princess! what else did they teach you in ballerina school? makin fools of themselves. our team is keeping it pretty clean, playing our game, except when lewis absolutely mowed some guy down. and yushko had to pipe up, wow coach, 25 years old and still living in your mom's basement. shut up just shut up! and dump and chase boys, they have no game. i had to say well if you know us so well then why are we beating you? so after a bit the ref goes over to throw out their coach. are you |=|_|(|«/l/ blind!? deaf!? he says. i can't believe he didn't throw out their whole bench. so now lessard is mad, one brown guy shouts, this ref wont call it, lets take these /l/lµ+|-|ë®|=|_|(|«ê®$ out! here come the elbows and slide tackles. we finished off the game strong, a solid win, but they aren't done yet. the little brown kid wants some beef with tom, the biggest guy on our team. they exchange a few pushes, and big petey comes charging full speed from the bench to take out tom, he pushes him but tom doesn't fall, phhww. our parents sprint over to break it up, while their parents are cheering them on. people start going their seperate ways but as yushko is getting into his car petey takes a swing at him but he safely dodges. no harm done, but im just glad we beat 'em when it counted. they'll be struggling to get into cities while we have a secure 1st place. ;)

Bizzy

oh man i've been busy lately. i've been wanting to get a job at either blockbuster or best buy, that would be amazing, but i don't think that's possible this summer. i'm lucky enough to be able to work one day a weekat brewsters (when i told henry i had to cut back the days, he said work 2 days a week or nothing, so i gave him my 2 weeks notice, then he said ok) and if i started a new job i'd probably havta work a few more days. it's all because of my homework and my work at home. i'm going to summer school (math 20, so i can have a spare next year) so that's gonna be heavy. my dad is an upholsterer and he works from home. he's super busy right now so i work for him a couple hours almost everyday. i already havta mow the lawn across the street, sometimes my next door neighbors and sometimes mine. the new neighbors that just moved in want me to mow their lawn now every week! all that on top of my chores, youth, church, soccer, camping. i'm not gonna have any free time this summer :?

Brawl (not SSBB!)

about a week ago we had a scheduled soccer game against lessard, all the way out in the west end, so ½ hour drive out, we warm up for ½ hour, then their coach finally comes over, aww yeah we couldnt find a ref sorry will you reschedule? its their job to find a ref, so our coach shoulda said play with a parent ref or forfiet, but he's a pushover so we rescheduled to today, great, we're missing a couple players, including our best. the game gets underway, and our D have to wake up. they pop a quick one in. the ref's an absolute joke, probably on a paycheck from lessard, calling nothing, exept for yellow cards to our players. the game starts getting outta hand, everyone's rough, yapping, and this one guy kept pinching me, wtf.its the last minute of play and tempers are raging. so fostman says to this one big brown guy, what is this, your 2nd win on the season? brown guy goes what's the score? 2-1? (it was 2-1 them) yeah that's what i thot. hmm i seem to remember beating you 4-1 last round and 4-0 in the provincial finals. c'mon man, hit me! hit me! bring it on! fostman gives him a fake punch, and he flinches bad, then yushko comesover and gives him a little slap to the face! now big 6'4'' 240lb brown guy's on his tail, fostman quickly sticks out his foot and he goes down with a thud. now this other brown guy wants beef, so fostman throws a hard left hook and he drops. i mean drops, straight down, he's out. after that there was just a bit of pushing and shoving, their coaches shoving our player to. the ref's not gonna do anything, everyone walks away, no suspensions. can't wait to play them next round, the round that counts. :x

A Good Decision!

back last summer i really really had a craving to play Pokémon LeafGreen. i had a bit of money, so i was going to go down to best buy, planning tojust to pick up an SP and LeafGreen (i was thinking short term). fortunately, right before i left, i told my good friend lewis my plan, and and he strongly advised me to get the DS lite. the lite's had just come out at the time, and i didnt know much about them, so i did a bit of quick research and boy am i glad. that could have been one of the worst mistakes in my gamin' career, but luckily im rockin' the polar whiteDS lite today with a nice collection of ds games (and leafgreen). thx lew!

Heroes

WOW, what an amazing series. i don't watch a lot of tv, usually less than 30 mins/day, but heroes, i can't miss. sometimes illtwice on mondays, one i recorded earlier and the one just showing (i have satellite). my english teacher told me about it right before the season started, and i've watched every episode and read every online comic. i love how the whole season ties together so nicely and how the all characters are connected. the show uses great symbols and foreshadowing. i like phycological thrillers, and how heroes makes you think, some of the complex ideas about powers and time etc. can't wait for next season! 8)

The Big Day...

holy smokes toady was a roller coaster ride! well im not allowed to play pokémon, and i pre-ordered pearl at EB Games. yesterday while i wasn't home EB phoned my house, asking for me. the guy talked to my mom, telling her pokémon pearl was out. she asks, did he ask you to phone to let him know? no he said, we're just phoning everybody. so that was pretty lucky for me. then this morning i had church until 12. it felt really long, but finally i got home. i quickly said i'm goin over to manny's house! and headed out on my bike. i biked all the way down to EB, which took me a while and got pearl, it came with a free case, and i got the headset. as im walking out my dad phones. where are you? he asks. umm around the school, me and lewis decided to bike around for some fresh air. have you picked up pokémon? he asks in a stern voice. BUSTED. longest bike ride home ever. i get home and the lecture begins. all from how they can never trust me again, to how i must spend my money wisely, to how our family doesn't communicate enough. after 1½ hours i got soccer practice, so i go and come back. we talk some more. so the $500 i had in my bank account, i have to give to my dad, he will return it when he can trust me again. my moms gonna look thoroghly thru all my games, so prob all the violent ones shes gonna throw out. before i game on any day, i have to jog on my treadmill so im in shape for soccer, read my bible and finish all my homework. im also not allowed to watch cartoons any more. only good part about this day is that super suprisingly, even tho they havn't made a decision, it seems like they might, just might allow me to play pokémon! oh man. :o

This is Sparta!

pretty funny story i heard from a friend. so it was opening day for 300, tonnes of people were lined up waiting to get tickets. there were these 2 lesbians in the line, and they were makin' out in front of everyone, talking and giggling loudly, and complaining a lot. so the guy behind them in line is getting a little annoyed, but he can handle it. so time passes, they get their tickets and the girls are still being very obnoxious. now the guys getting more frustrated, but he can contain himself. finally theyget into the theater and they're walking up the stairs to their seats. the girls are walking behind the guy, and suddenly they realize this isn't the movie they want to see, they wanted to see some other chick flick. what?! what movie is this?? they say. now the guy just can't take it anymore, he turns around and shouts THIS IS SPARTA! and kicks the girls in the stomach! the girls fall all the way down the stairs and run off crying. the guy was kicked outta the movie, but at least he got a standing ovation by 40 people.

School Registration

were just registering for next year now, and i had an elaborate schedule all planned out. by taking summer school, i would have room for 1½ spares next year and 2 spares the year after. i also met the 35 credit minimum, that includes summer school, but now summer school credits dont count, so i need to take more courses during the year. that not only takes away time that i would have used studying/homework, but it gives me more homework, probably dropping my marks a little all around. that makes me mad, especially when my marks count so much for university. they told me the credits in summer count towards my total 100 but not to my 35 in grade 11. when you think about it, if they force you to take another course in grade 11, then i'll have more than enough credits, so i dont need those from summer, making the whole thing pointless. thats what really grinds my gears.  :x

graw.

i dont know if its just me, but i found GRAW a really crappy game. it came free with my xbox 360 bundle, and ive played it for less then 30 mins in total. all the arrows on the screen are just confusing and i dont know where to go. when i do finally find some enemies, i die after taking only 2 shots, and enemies die after only one shot in the leg or something. it doesnt make for a very good shooter, and it isnt really a stealth game, and i couldnt find any tactical aspects to it. i know some ppl like ryan koes. are crazy about it but i just couldnt find anything appealling.  :|

Army of Two

Army of Two sounds like a great game, innovative and fun to play, a definate buy. i've been a fan of giving orders to your computer teammates since Socom II, and i have a feeling this game will be more responsive and more dynamic. the revival system sounds really cool, one player running away from the light at the end of the tunnel and the other player doing a CPR mingame.one complaint i do have tho is their outfits, especially their masks. the flaming skull masks and tatoos make them look a little too bad-@$$. they're supposed to be part of the military, but they don't look very professional, and overall they dont look like they would be fun characters to play as. other than that, i'm really looking forward to playing it. :)
