It's insane. How hard is it to build a game that #1 sells, and #2 garners so much good will? Just to then dump a bucket of sh!t all over it? Why would anyone do this? Seriously 😳

@mrbojangles25: Prey 2 looked super cool. There are so many games that could benefit from a great bounty hunter mechanic. And Shogo was neat too. I only played the demo, but there was something about the scale and weapons that felt great.
I thought Zelda was the guy😜
Seriously though, I'm not sure. I have no doubt they could do a good job, but I don't necessarily want the FS feel on everything. Let's get some new feelings. That being said, I haven't really played a Zelda game since LttP. So my opinion doesn't really matter.
I did think this look alright though.
Probably. I played the PS3 Demon's Souls, and loved it. After that I played Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Both are great games, but they gave me diminishing returns. I am an odd duck though. I get bored well before most people. It seems like if a new game blows me away, the sequels never hit the same fever pitch. But if the first game is solid and has potential, I get excited for what the sequel COULD be. It's unfair because the potential always excites me. It can be anything. Where the reality can't compare with endless possibilities.
With the clones, I generally feel like others. They just don't measure up to FS. And I have no interest in playing a bunch of 'not bad'. And that goes for all media; games, movies, music. I would rather have fewer experiences that I love, as opposed to a bunch of passable attempts. I waters down everything... at least for me. But that's the world we live in now; or have for the past decade or two.
Really, the only game o would like to see with Souls combat would be an MMO. Running headlong into battle with a 100 vs 100 armored up nutjobs sounds pretty fun. Pair that with some dynamic creature spawns. Like a goblin goes into an empty cave, and over time has a random chance to spawn more goblins. If left undisturbed they would spawn different types of goblin, like warriors, shamans, chieftains, etc. They would turn the cave into a goblin den, filled with gobliny stuff. And once they grow to a large enough size, send out warbands. God, I'm getting so hard.
But as far as standard Souls, yeah I'm bored.
Dabble. I liked Flower and Abzu, but they both have moments of tension. Darkfall was a fairly hardcore MMO with full loot. So you had to keep your head on a swivel looking for jerks trying to gank you and stealing all your stuff. That said, I too had a wonderful moment fishing. It was just a pretty area in the middle of nowhere, and it felt great to calmly sit down and perform a simple task. The juxtaposition of this with the real threat in the world felt great.
I tried Stardew but couldn't get into it. I get why people like it, and there were moments, but I knew I didn't want to sink that much time and effort into that world.
I probably have, but I'm not positive if I have played a game at 60 fps or higher. I've SEEN games being played at that, but I wasn't in control. So if I haven't, that means everything I've played has been below that, and I've never had a problem. But if I had to trade between pushing graphics to realistic levels or making everything PS2/3 quality, but with perfect stability... I would choose the latter.
@Archangel3371: I had a great time with Vanquish.
I thought Kingdoms of Amalur was pretty good. Had potential for a better sequel.
