Now that i think of it, these DEI firms are exactly like microtransactions lmao. What is the goal of mtx in the large majority of games? Introduces inconveniences to then sell you the solution on their store. What is the goal of those DEI companies? Create issues out of thin air, to then be hired to fix an issue they made up. Holy shit what a scam.

And what annoys me is that we don't have a toxic as hell game director that could expose all of this BS while everyone is listening. I don't like Cliffy B, but he might be one of those who might've shat on those DEI creatures if he was still as relevant as he was in the past, assuming he wasn't working for Microsoft cuz they would never allow him. David Jaffe from the early 2000's, if he wasn't working for Sony, i too believe he'd be another game director to demolish all this DEI bs.

I don't know, dude. Early 2000's Jaffe was a different beast, but know he is saturated in woke, and has a trans kid. He wants all of this. I don't know about Clifford.

@last_lap: That's how well it did. No clue if that assessment is correct though. Some people said it was pretty good, but I have no clue.

@onesiphorus: I'm pretty sure it was David Harbour and some girl that people know. But they also modelled the characters after them. So I wonder how much extra they had to pay for that.

Yeah, I don't what them pulling some rando off the street, but spending less on cinematics and superfluous dialogue would probably be a positive for budget and schedule. And it might force them to be more creative with how the unfurl the narrative. You're also probably right with what we had, but I do sometimes miss a little goof in the dialogue. I don't want it on purpose, but a silly line can stick with you just the same as a great one.

@pclover1980: I wonder how much they spent on named actors. Maybe it wasn't that much, but seemed like a complete waste to me. Did they add enough to the game to warrant their inclusion?

I played the first one at launch, and was done in 2-3 weeks. The promise of that game sounded pretty cool, but it never panned out for me.

I was gonna start a thread asking if this was any good. I've really been itching for a good vampire game lately. Looks a little 'mobile game' for my tastes, but maybe I'm misjudging it.

I'm really wanting something more akin to Interview With the Vampire, where you start with a random "gift" (power), and can have different permadeath playthroughs. I wish they would tone it down with the over-the-top powers/abilities for at least one vampire game. Give me the experience of what it's like to be a serious blood sucker!

The more i follow this clusterfuck, the more enraged i become.

Haha, if a person thinks the new Qunari (had to look that up) looks better than the one from DA:2, they might have brain damage. Its a perfect depiction of the detransition from cool to crap. At least with the character art. I've never played a DA game (I always thought they looked meh), so I don't know how they are portrayed in the game.

Their DA2 design was cool af. I have no idea why would you even change it for DA:I. And now, do you what it reminds me off of? A god damn champion from Raid Shadow Legends.

Haha, I'll have to take your word for it. I don't know anything about Raid. But after a quick googlin', i found this Raid character. Maybe it's fan art, but it looks miles better than DA:V's version.

@Pedro: Do you have an opinion on which looks better? New or old? Or are you more fond of the beatnik pirate in the middle? He's not getting much love.
