Hey I don't know if this is in the right place but i recently tried to unistall Rome:Total War so i could reinstall it (patches messed the game up) but near the end of the uninstall my pc went to crash dump (blue screen thing) and now when i try and uninstall the program wont even open. If i try and play the game it wont run and there is no re-install button so im stuck not being able to install uninstall or play the game and the file the game is located in has gone aswell, help please cause i want to play the game but i can't!

i realised that quickly after, i automatically assumed series 8 (which was newest at time) = best, then i was informed 300 is aimed at microsoft word and minesweeper. Would a 9 series (i.e. 9600) run on my pc with just a new power supply since im afraid i might have to buy a new motherboard aswell, otherwise im sure theres a decent 8800GT or similar and power supply for around £55-60 combined

Hello all, after recently coming into a small amount of money i have decided to look into purchasing such games as COD and other shooters for my pc (dont own an xbox) but realise my pc may be too weak to play these games well

Its a Dell inspiron 531, AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 5600+, 2gb ram and a NVIDIA Geforce 8300GS

i realise this is pretty pants for many games except sport games

After looking at the price of some older video cards, mainly either a nvidia 8800GT or a higher 9series, their prices looked within reason but i know i also need to buy things like cooling fans? or maybe anew motherboard, could someone point me into the right direction on what id need to purchase (ie. specific models or watt strength etc.) or even some recomendations of products?

got a question, also about xbox 360 controller for pc and dont want to start a new thread

i have a 360 controller and when i load it in any games it registers twice, which is very annoying, so on the menus whenever i press down it moves down 2 times, once for the frst time the controller is registered and once for the second time, so eveyrthing happens twice as much and it kind of ruins games

i have re-installed, restarted controller and pc but it still does it

any ideas anyone?

works with almost all newer games although not always perfectly

it doesnt work with unreal tournament 04, or ut3 demo, it works with crysis, works with all football games and rugby games, works ok with madden. the only games it wont work with are ones where it doesnt need to (i.e. rts games)
