As fun as R2s multiplayers modes were, they were flawed. The competitive modes were fun for a bit but they were too hectic and required the same amount of skill it takes to play Call of Duty. In a 30 vs. 30 match, throw one frag or hedgehog grenade and you get 3+ kills almost every time. 8 vs. 8 eliminates the hectic mayhem that ensued when playing R2, and should make it a little more balanced, but due to the fact that I don't have a time machine and have never played the game I can't be 100% sure of that, I am basing my prediction on the video released. As for co-op, it is a shame that they took it out, but if you think about it, to keep with the story, it makes sense. R2's co-op was based on the fact that the huge war against the Chimera was being fought by others, not just Nathan Hale. In R3, there is no war anymore, and there are no groups of soldiers trying to win the war. In this users opinion, these changes make sense.

Stop for one second and think about what he is saying, he does make a lot of valid points. Jims only problem is he exaggerates those points to a degree that get people all riled up. PC support has been on the decline due to piracy, that i will agree with. I dont agree with him saying that PC gaming will DIE, thats crazy talk as there will always be at least be a few people still gaming on the PC, and that I am happy with because I think its fair to say that most people started gaming on the PC, and to a small degree EVERYONE is a PC gamer so a part of everyone wants PC gaming to stay. Everyone thinks he is just trolling, but think about this, he is actually well respected in the video game industry, he may not be respected by gamers but by the professionals, he is well liked. David Jaffe was quoted as saying that he likes his no holds barred style of journalism, and Jim isn't afraid of putting games in its place. Watch some of his Jimquisition videos, the points and arguements he brings up are spot on, yet gamers still give him crap for it.

One of his points that he brings up is how some of the excuses are mindnumbingly insane. You pirate because of a necessity!?! I'm sorry gaming isnt a necessity, its a pass time. Jim presents this point well and it is VERY hard to disagree with him.

Apart from his exaggerations, he needs to tone down the language, a little swearing is okay but the amount of profanity he uses is worse then the amount in Killzone 2.

In no particular order...

1: Magician Faust --> Legend of Dragoon

2: The Undying --> Final Fantasy XII

3: Orphan 1st Form --> Final Fantasy XIII

4: Genesis Avatar --> Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII

5: Ozma --> Final Fantasy IX

6: Sephiroth --> Kingdom Hearts

Ive loved them all but XIII was my least favorite of them all, followed by VII. As fantastic as VII was, once you got passed the OH WOW factor it just turned out to be a great game, not a fantastic AMAZING OMFGBBQ kinda game that everyone claimed it to be.

Lastly, if I was to be mean, take IX off that list of yours...WTH are you thinking, IX is and will always be the definative Final Fantasy. It is a TRUE fantasy, not some Sci-fi or modern take on Fantasy. In terms of charm, humor, gameplay and pace it is amongst the best games I have ever played. The key word there is I, thus being only one fans opinion.

You havent played FF Mystic Quest, FF XI, or FF XIV to make such a statement.

I am only going with games I have played. I have not played Mystic Quest because I have never been able to get my hands on the game, I haven't played XIV since my PC is barely capable of handling anything pre 2007. And I HAVE played XI, played it for a while and loved it but stopped because I didn't want to continue spending money on the game every month.

you complain about it not having it but if it did, would you play it? of course you wouldnt! Look at Bioshock, everyone wanted multiplayer, it got it and now its forgotten (for those of you who do play i apologize). Versus multiplayer is taken by Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo, Gears of War, and Killzone...you could also add Resistance and Uncharted to a lesser extent but thats my opinion, since I focus more on the story in those games. Not every game needs it, Bulletstorm is one of them

Final Fantasy IX when you are flying into Memoria and thousands of Silver Dragons come flying towards. That sent chills down my spine. Then when all those airships appeared and started firing at the dragons chills went through my entire body. Thats two-fold. Probably the most cinematic and epic sequence in the entire series...although thats my opinion

There really isnt anything great about it. Its just a feature that one console has while the other doesnt so it is a tool used in system wars to start arguements and for trolling.

You're so wrong, it's a very nice feature to be able to talk with people when playing other games.

Yes that is nice but that is the only great thing about it. 360 fans talk it up like its the greatest feature available when its only a small feature in a list of better features on Live. PS3 fans talk it up like its either crap and not worth it or its the only thing PSN needs to be on par with Live but that isnt true. This is, however, all my opinion and I expect others to disagree with me. I personally dont care whether or not it arrives on PSN because when I am playing a game on PSN I really dont want to talk to someone online when I am distracted by Orphan in FFXIII or Kessler in InFamous. It would be a nice addition to PSN though

Ok before I begin I would just like to say I am very excited for this game as it is currently one of my most anticipated games of the future. However when I keep hearing news sprinkle out about the game and after viewing the new screenshots I cant help but think that this game does not look like a Final Fantasy title apart from its name. Am I the only one who believes that this game should have a title all its own and not be related to the Final Fantasy series? I probably am the only one but I just want to hear other opinions.

Note: I am aware that with the Final Fantasy name attached to the title it will recieve more attention, and I firmly believe that if the name Final Fantasy wasnt in the title it would not be as anticipated.
