yep exactly. some people just don't get it because they are too blinded by Cods and the maddens. BF has always had a longer time period between releases and major updates per title.

too bad battlefield kicks the shit out of cod in basically every aspect outside of sales and single player. but bf was never known for single player.

what happens when its the end of the world and there's no internet anymore? I'll be playing single player off a generator with my last gallon of gas. once that's gone, I will use my solar panels to continue playing single player offline games.

Those are some good questions. well the previous commanders could talk directly with the squad leaders which worked great. I doubt individual members of the squad though. You will definitely be able to set way points and point out enemy's. You should be able to airdrop supplies too but I'm unsure about that. It will be interesting to see the new commander features compared to the commander in BF2 and 2142. I think it's cool it can be played from a tablet. If you play commander and are good I will play on your team a lot, and my friends if you don't mind. we will be looking for a good commander.
