wow... they were certainly not one of the first rock and roll bands. and nirvana was DEFINITELY not one of the first.. when were you born?

anyway they made many memorable songs from their early albums, particularly their first 4 (kill 'em all, ride the lightening, master of puppets, ...and justice for all) and some from the black album were good as well however were different from their original stuff. I mean, they did make fans out of many people who didn't like metal. They were a lot of people's gateway to the metal genre, and their music is very original and tasteful. Although i believe from what i've seen on youtube and dvd's, and their S&M album, they can't perform live as well as they used to. Just my opinion though

My favourite movie of all time along with The Shawshank Redemption. Fight Club is amazing and behind all the fighting is an awesome message and of course there are very quotable lines. Fight club has developed a cult following as well, check wikipedia to find that out. Also the movie got like high 8's on www.imdb.com and is rated pretty highly on the all time movie lists everywhere.
