Its been 4 christmas's already it won't be any different than the last 3. If anything the first one is the most taxing, now its just a formality. It will be business as usual. SepewrathYes, but this is the first Christmas that the PS3 is being sold at $300. There've been alot of sales. I went to target the other day, and while they still had 360s and Wiis, the Slims were all sold out.

How is that supposed to be a pun? And they seem reliable. Sorry about your 40GB. I've had mine for 1.5 years and haven't had a problem. No pun intended but the 40 gig ps3 tends to break way too much

Today's gonna be rough day for the PSN servers with all the new people updating their slims and playing online for the first time.
So you'd rather be with your PS3 than your gf at 10 at night? :o
[QUOTE="dk00111"]Just make sure it's an HDMI 1.3 cable and you'll be good.EpiphoneMan20081.4 Is better though right? It has the 3D capability Correction: Just make sure it's at least an HDMI 1.3 cable and you'll be good. =P
Thanks for the quick reply's guys. I think I'll download the encyclopedia off psn then play the game. How long is it approximately, including the looooonnnngggg cutscenes which I have come to know and love.MADKLOWN8480Depends on how you play the game. It took me about 20 hours. And expect a 1.5 hour cut scene at the end. :P
As far as MGS1 goes, all PS3's play PS1 games. It's the model with backwards compatibility. Yes, it's in need only because I need to replay Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner and MGS1 which I've owned brand new sealed and have not opened. Can this model even play those games? I hear it can only play a few.

Maybe you should invest in a heater lol.I got mine at the beginning of September and I've had it freeze maybe twice and it only was on Fallout 3, which is a whole other issue. My video signal messed up a few times but I believe it was my HD-component cable which after upgrading to HDMI I can definitely see an improvement and I haven't had any trouble. Other than that I have had no problems. I usually play 3-5 hours at a time and then take a day or two break. Then go a couple days of like 10+ hours gaming. REALLY sporadic game times from me. I don't know if that will shorten my slim's life or not but I have a 3 year warranty and I live in a VERY cold apartment so my machine gets necessarily warm after long periods of time in a room where you can see your breath.
