I'm all for it if it cuts down noise.grassdream
This result is more important to me and can be really detrimental to the sound quality of games with no audio variables. I expect the feature's only other noticeable improvement will be in games that have texture problems like Mass Effect.
You can transfer the hard-drive and 98% of saves and content should be intact (original Xbox saves are not always intact). You may have to use the licence transfer tool if you want to play your DLC offline (i.e. transfer DRM to a new console).
Valve plans to release new scenarios (i.e. campaigns) with the campy horror theme. One playthrough of all maps will be about ten hours but the AI in the game should be even more advanced than, say, the Counterstrike bot. No set spawns mean the infected will always be in new positions and employ new tactics with each playthrough based on such things as player difficulty and pacing.
Multiplayer is like attack-defend on key choke points of the maps. The survivors play as normal trying to make their way to the end. The other team plays the Boss Infected: they can climb objects and buildings, pounce and trap, and use their special powers (vomiting Bomer should be hilarious) to tackle and eliminate the survivors on their journey through the night.
Personally, I'm looking forward to it more than, say, Gears or CoD because of replayablilty and the expected polish to gameplay and theme.
Let's not turn this into a "This game is better than the one you choose to have fun with"
ON TOPIC: Anyone think they're getting in on the preview program for the update?

This page could help show you the different features.
"Alan Wake" for 09 *crosses fingers* You all seen the new trailer?
Add for Holiday 08: Banjo, Left 4 Dead, and Fallout 3. Should be enough quality titles coming soon to break one's wallet once again. :P
Obviously Too Human.
On a serious note, Fallout 3.
