Why you would want to hook up your system and not try to make the best settings is beyond me.

But Full RGB on HDMI makes an awesome difference. It changes the colorspace to 0-255, something that component cannot do.

About beautiful katamari, pretty much everyone on 1up yours agreed that in its current form its barely worth a 39.99 game. Thats not exactly award winning praise there. They said its basically the same game as before with higher res and the same out of polygons.

A fair point. I consider myself a fan of the franchise, but I skipped the third game just because the uniqueness had worn off for me (a new twist needs to be introduced IMHO).

I think that he's pointing out how quickly you jumped to defend the Playstation 3, since if this wasn't actually that bad you wouldn't care enough to write that much.

But seriously if you are happy about exclusive beautiful katamari then great. Go look at the game and you can see why sony or nintendo didnt pay for its exclusivity, yes even nintendo, because in its current form it looks little better than a psp or ps2 game.

Using it as well as an example of Microsoft secureing "awesome exclusives" is using them in the wrong context. Ace Combat is not going to be gang busters, it is a niche title. Katamari just looks like trash.

Not everything on marketplace is a bad deal though. A lot of it is up to the individual developers for the content and prcing and whatnot. Everyone knows the Guitar Hero 2 packs are a ripoff for instance (though I still bought one for Ace Of Spades and Bark At The Moon) cause well I have extra cash, anyways most games and such are fairly priced I feel.

I know theres worthwhile stuff on there. The problem is people are actually buying some of the crap that microsoft puts up there, what some in here fail to realize is that if people keep buying the bad deals, the bad deals arent going to stop coming.

Im not going to encourage microsofts micro_blank_ments, just look at shadowrun's downloadable "tutorial" videos for $1.25 a piece. I have 5.1 and upgrading to 7.1.

A lot of people dont care about surround sound. But a lot of games at least support dobly pro logic I or II, if not dolby digital.

Counter-strike is really good for surround sound, it helps to be able to hear from which direction someone is coming from if your sneaking around.
