True, but I've always assumed all the big announcements came from the press conferences. And as far as I can tell those are done...hmm, we'll see what comes out over the next 2 days. But I'm not expecting much.

Also, apparently Tetsuya Nomura was supposed to be at E3? I didn't see him during any of the press conferences. From finalfantasy-xiii.net:

"Shinji Hashimoto posted on the Japanese Square Enix Members Twitter that Nomura will be going on a business trip to E3. We have no clear indication what the reason for his visit is but let's hope we'll finally have the Versus media blowout we've been hoping for."

Nothing about a new GTA game, it's time that a new one comes out yet there's been nothing about the next one. Nothing about FFvsXIII, Kingdom Hearts 3, or The Last Guardian. Also wanted some info about when the FFXIV beta would start for PS3, but all we got was a trailer.

Mine lasted just over a year and two months. It's an 80GB Motorstorm bundle PS3 with PS2 compatability through emulation. I didn't get the YLOD, it just stopped reading all discs. Got it back from repair last August and it's been fine since.

[QUOTE="gizmo_dave100"]

just downloaded it off the psn as i havent played it since it first came out.

as far as i can recall it was my least favortie of the ps1 ff's and possibly my second worst (only beaten by 13)

what did you think of it?

gizmo_dave100

*mindblown* WHAT?

FFIX is THE best Final Fantasy. It has EXCELLENT music, it has EXCELLENT atmosphere, it's chocobo system is THE best of them all, the moogles are AWESOME, the characters are very interesting, unique and likeable and the artstyle of FFIX is THE best in a game EVER EVER EVER. The whole game is just so extremely charmy and awesome.

i love all FF games that i have played :-) just saying its my second least favorite, not that i dont like it! and one thing is the music is crap compared to 7,8 and 10!

The music is crap? I can't believe I just read that...I found the soundtrack to be excellent, and easily on par with 7, 8, and 10. Perhaps even better as it has some incredibly beautiful tracks. I believe Uematsu also considers 9 to be his favourite FF, he mentioned it in an interview.

I thought it was a great game. Lots of people probably didn't like it cause it was so different from your normal FF game. I remember the first couple hours I played it, it just didn't feel like it had that FF feel that all the other games do. That didn't stop it from being a great game though. The story was weak, but it made up for it through great gameplay. The world was more open, which I liked, and the battle system was fairly complex and fun to master. The game also got quite challenging in some of the later dungeons, and the optional bosses like Yiazmat and Omega Mark XIII were pretty strong and gave you a nice sense of accomplishment when you finally beat them (though Yiazmat was getting a little ridiculous in how long it takes to kill him...I found Omega to be harder actually, Omega attacks a lot faster and relentlessly). Overall not the best FF game, but far from being bad. I enjoyed it.

9 is my favourite FF, it was the first one I played as well. The characters, story, themes, setting, artwork, and music are all incredibly well done. Zidane is a very likable main character, he's just one of those guys that you would love to have as a friend. Cloud and Squall were no doubt great characters as well, but there's something about Zidane that just makes him awesome. Vivi was an amazing character as well...the whole cast is just very likeable. The more light hearted side to the game makes it very enjoyable, while at the same time it still has it's dark moments, and a theme involving the nature of death which I found very interesting. Anyway, my list of favourite FF games would go like this (though it can change over time, of course):

9

10

8

7

12

13

10-2

Same with Home. Except that you have to launch Home first, then hope your friends are in Home also. On XBL, everyone's already accessble for parties and game launching. Nothing extra to launch.

LegatoSkyheart

you obviously don't know what I'm talking about. When I meant by "Searching", I meant I had to go on like Facebook or you know find them in real life and tell them I have an Xbox 360.

that sort of thing.

You're obviously dogging on PSHome and to be honest It's a niffty MMO. You can hang with your friends on their and launch games on their too and even meet someone new. It's a nifty feature for the PS3 which the 360 does not have.

Heck I won't even be surprised if they even had some sort of special event for E3.

It would be great if they have a special event for E3. I wasn't on last year so I'm not sure if they did something like this, but it would be awesome if they had their E3 conference showing live in the theatres. Being in there, seeing something awesome be announced, and watching everybody's reaction would be awesome. It would really help build up excitement in my opinion.

I play more single player games than multiplayer, and don't party up that much, so I'm not sure if I know everything...but if you wanted to party up and play a game, couldn't you and your friends just start the game and party up from there? It's not like you can only do it through Home.

Shouldn't you be able to tell whether your friends are on Home by looking at your friends list and seeing whether they're on it from there? Why would you have to hope they're on when launching it?
