Sounds like a really fun game. If I didn't spend 8 hours a day doing somewhat similar things at work, I'd probably be up for it.

I'm a software engineer at Micron, the memory company that has been working on XPoint for years, so it's cool to see this finally coming out. In it's current state, I can see why it isn't ideal for high end set-ups that already have an SSD, but I'd imagine as the technology improves and costs go down, it will be a good fit for budget PC's and maybe even consoles.

"...which allows the game to hold a consistent frame rate on the souped-on PS4". That is strange Eddie, I try not to spill soup on my PS4 Pro.

@Tangsta03: I remember reading something about that. I'm thinking it could be because the Pro was originally locked to use the same specs as the PS4 for games that didn't specifically take advantage of the Pro. I think Sony released a patch that gives you the option to run any PS4 game with the Pro specs so I wonder if that would improve those load times as well.

@naomha1: Installing an SSD in the Pro actually helps the load times quite a bit (unlike the original PS4 which didn't take advantage of SATA-3.) It will typically reduce 75 second load time down to about 30 seconds. Here's a comparison video:

@jasonlc3221: Oh they're already approaching $300 on Ebay now (they were around $150 recently). I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach $500 in a few weeks or to see someone start producing counterfeits thanks to the availability of 3D printers.

WTF!? I'm glad I finally bought a modded one on EBay with 200 games for around $140. I wanted to buy at least one more as a gift at some point but might as well flush that idea down the toilet. Naturally prices shot up at this news and they're now close to $300 on EBay.
