Glad to hear that. I hope we'll see more developers prioritize gameplay and frame rate over slide show image quality.

I was thinking of getting this since I haven't played in a band in a few years but the reviews aren't making me too sure. Maybe I'll just go back to playing real music instead...

@punksterdaddy: I think it will come with the exponentially efficient fuel converter. Just toss in food waste and unused beer and you should be good to go.

@Phelaidar: I figured it was the sound mixing or microphone because I've noticed this on other episodes of the Gist as well and she doesn't always sound muffled.

@namitokiwa: It's because "Makes you wish a mainline Dragon Quest game looked this gorgeous" is equal to negative two points. Every game that makes you wish a mainline Dragon Quest game looked as gorgeous as the game you're playing automatically loses 2 points. Here's the math:

Akira Toriyama’s character designs have never appeared livelier = 2 points

Monster minions add immense depth to what have would’ve been a repetitive experience = 2 points

Diverse combat styles provide variety across one or multiple playthroughs = 2 points

Does not rely on classic Dynasty Warriors territorial tug-of-war = 2 points

Seeing old Dragon Quest characters make for a heartwarming reunion = 2 points

As you can see, the points listed under positive are worth exactly 2 points each and nothing else about the game factors in to the overall review score. Since the game has exactly 5 good things about it, it would have scored a perfect 10. Unfortunately, the game has exactly 1 bad thing about it so they subtract 2 points from the essential 10, and it gets a score of exactly 8. That means the game is only "great".

Don't you wish that review scores were subjective and based on the reviewers overall experience of the game instead? That could get pretty complicated.
