@jbhnc11 My biggest complaint is that the battle system requires some arbitrary timing mechanics when it gets challenging.

I dare to say this system is worse than a series of quick time events.

@RPG_Fan_I_Am I'm about six hours in and I feel like the game has spiraled into some pretty graphics with insulting gameplay. 5 out of 10 is looking accurate - if not generous.

The battle system seemed fun at first, but now that I have Angel (the healer chocobo), and each enemy takes around 40 hits to kill: the battles have become a test of patience for me. Worse yet, there is very little reward for WASTING my time in each battle. I don't get any stronger for WASTING my time.

I don't find any enjoyment in trying to time my attacks and blocks with this [hard to read] battle system.

I've played, beat, and enjoyed FF1 through FFXII (except FFXI) and the story in this one didn't bother me (Completed 13 and 13-2 as well). I play games for GAMEPLAY anyway.

It just makes me sad that SQUENIX would spend this much time and effort into a project that is BLATANTLY not fun to play.

I'm still hoping that FFXV will be fun :)

@goggles123456 @TheLastGamer122 I really love what you said in your posts here. I feel the same way about the Snes Final Fantasy series.

I suspect that when you played FF 4/6 you were at a younger phase in your life and FF 5 brought back the nostalgia that you had been craving later (at least that was the case for me). I have played and completed Final Fantasy I - XIII-2( excluding XI) and I have noticed that same sense of inspiration and magic only through the Snes titles.

It is incredible how strong the sense of wonderment was through the Snes titles was and I feel something similar in Demon Souls / Dark Souls.

As an aspiring video game developer I want to ask you: what can we do to provide that incredible quality that we experienced in the Super Nintendo Final Fantasy series to others?
