How many of you have seen this stuff? (OoT 3D: http://impul5se.wordpress.com/2011/06/30/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3ds-pre-order-case-unboxing/) (Star Fox 64 3D: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/15/star-fox-3ds-case-is-environmentally-friendly-in-a-neat-way/)?

PS3 games have occasionally gotten similar treatment over the years and it's been available in all regions. Why can't Nintendo release this kind of design everywhere? Even though I feel like the OoT one should have had items like Bombchus and the Hookshot in the "windows" rather than Rupees, it's still really neat use of those plasticless gaps! The SF64 design is just awesome, though.

I honestly don't see why everyone can't get the pretty.

I'd be down for a Banjo Kazooie 3D or, I suppose, a DK64 3D. Although, I'm way more for the former because the latter was just too long and full of collectables. Yes, BK has collectables too, but if I put the game down for a month and came back to it, I could still remember how to play and what everything did in BK. I was always lost in DKC64 after a brief respite.

If this game ever comes out, it is most definitely going to put XIII and XIII-2 to shame.

I by no means LOVED FFXIII. However, I did enjoy the experience from start to finish. I didn't mind the gradual opening up of gameplay mechanics and I embraced the steep difficulty increases every so often. When you maxed out the Crystarium for the time being, you had to resort to upgrading weapons and accessories and after that, it was all about your strategy and Shifts during the battles. Failure wasn't the game's fault; it was yours. That was something new that I hadn't really experienced in any other RPG I'd ever played. I'm eager to see what XIII-2 has to offer. Still, FFVII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, or XII, FFXIII is not.

I live in the US and there's a game called Battle Vs Chess coming out in Europe and the UK that was initially cancelled but is so far only getting a second chance at life overseas. I really want this game and am actually thinking of importing, but I've never done it before so I've got questions.

1) Would the game play on my PS3?

2) Would the trophies work?

3) If updates and/or DLC became available, would I have access to it?

Thanks for any responses.

Uncharted 3. Come November 1st, if I haven't preordered it due to good bonuses, I'm walking into a store and buying it and playing it that day.

So with no PS Store until the end of the month and no inFamous 2 until its release at the start of next month, looks like I've got an entire month to... 1) earn Platinum in Uncharted 2, 2) earn Platinum in Portal 2, 3) earn Platinum in the first inFamous, 4) and perhaps also get into some Lords of Shadow, in addition to completing the Hot Pursuit and YDKJ DLC. I honestly can't really complain.

You all make me feel better about myself. I have some DS games I'd like to play (Chrono Trigger, Soul Bubbles, Pokemon White), but I've been sticking to my PS3 for a while now and well, something keeps compelling me to add to my backlog. Here's where I stand: - Uncharted 2 (two trophies left until Platinum) - inFamous (really want to play and Plat this before the sequel comes out) - Outland (once the PSN comes back online and the game is released) - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Portal 2 (just bought it) - LittleBigPlanet 2 (just bought it) - MotorStorm: Pacific Rift (poor PR, keeps getting pushed aside for other games) On top of this, I have DLC to play in both NFS Hot Pursuit and You Don't Know Jack. But, I'm saving those for when a certain friend of mine comes over to hang out. I blame trophies. I honestly wouldn't have played every game I have played already as much as I have if it wasn't for "doable" trophies.

A friend recommended I use some of this downtime wisely by reformatting my PS3's HDD database. Anybody else doing this? I've never done it before and am honestly kinda worried about doing it because I have a bad history with doing optional things to my consoles.
