I don't mind the inclusion of online trophies in the requirements for a Platinum trophy, so long as they aren't difficult to obtain, there aren't a ton of them, and aren't heavily dependent on others. Uncharted 2 only requires two online trophies as part of its reqs for Platinum; they just want you to try out the online. NFS Hot Pursuit goes a little further by having you play around with Photo Mode, the Autolog features, and the online multiplayer modes. However, you just need to play the MP; you don't need to be super fantastic at it personally. Games like MNR are crazy though, but that's because online is a major component of the game's gameplay. It makes sense in LBP and MNR's case, but elsewhere it can definitely be annoying. I remember when my internet connection was pretty unreliable. I dreaded online trophies. Now, I try to get them done as quickly as possible, just in case the community goes dry.

I just want to be able to sync my trophies and grab Outland (which was supposed to be released today) off the PS Store. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for them to truly and completely fix their system so we don't have to deal with this again.

At the risk of sounding redundant, it is indeed possible to play DLC offline, so long as you've already bought and downloaded it from the PS Store. I believe it doesn't need to be installed yet - that can be done offline - but it definitely needs to be bought and downloaded beforehand. As for the mention of LBP, I've been playing the MGS and Pirates DLC in the last couple of days with no problems whatsoever. Furthermore, trophies do still show up.

That is really strange. I've been playing my PS3 straight through this entire "crisis", earning many new trophies, and I haven't noticed any strange dips in my Trophy percentage completion values for any of the games I own. If it matters, last time I sync'd was about a week ago, just before all this started happening.

I keep everything. I just couldn't imagine how I'd feel if I sold something and then at some point down the road, I wanted to break that something out again only to realize my past self had sold it away. So, I still have my smaller PS One, my PS2 slim, and all the games I've ever bought for both.

Some of you are delirious. When the power goes out after a really bad storm or flooding or a tornado or whatever, if it's out for an extended period of time (more than just a few minutes or hours), people are just thankful to have the power back on once it's fixed. The electric company doesn't mail out coupons or money checks or a free month of power. So no, I don't believe Sony will be giving us anything in return for our patient waiting. Although, I do wish they'd tell us more about what's going on. Not having a clue makes me think that this in fact a pretty serious issue.

I can't wait for the ICO Collection. That's really the only one so far that's caught my eye because I missed out on SotC way back.

We really need a sticky for this so we stop getting 50 new topics a day on it. Although considering how many topics there are on it, im amazed people are still making new ones.Rattlesnake_8
Because they don't read what came before first. They just go to create a new topic.

Since last Friday, I've been getting every error under the sun when I try to log in. I know it's not my connection because the laptops and computers in my house are running WiFi just fine; heck, my PS3 even recognizes a 100% signal. This morning, I got the 8070A06 error, so we're all in the same boat. I just hope they're fixing whatever's been broke since last Friday. It's been very frustrating this past half a week not being able to do something about the problem and having to wait for Sony to go about fixing it. Thank god they finally are.

Okay, maybe I'll try manually entering my password for now. Alls I know is all weekend, it's been highly unreliable. I'm just glad I haven't really NEEDED to get online to play the games I've wanted to play this weekend as I've wanted to play them. Plenty of offline stuff to do.
