You cannot do this in a debate way. Cows will say halo and zelda, lemmings will say zelda and god of war, sheep will say halo and god of war. YOu will defend your system whether u actually beleive the game bad or not.
Topic^^^^^ but seriously...MS is taking your money. Common...Its MS. we all know that by now...LOL neway just go buy yourself a PS3. at-least with the PS3 you won't have to worry about purchasing and purchasing things to add to it. IT SHOULD OF ALREADY HAD IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Look at Elite...LOL you gotta be joking right...with the elite out...We all know that MS is realizing its console won't last in the near future.LOL bizzy_bone16
Um, are u serious?
Guess this is why sony is a 8 billion company and microsoft is a 60 billion
[QUOTE="TrueReligion_"]Are you serious? The story is not original, and neither is the gameplay. Halo only improves on gameplay mechanics from Half Life, Tribes, and other renowed FPSes--it is by no means the best of all time.
gamenux
Agreed. These halo guys really need to play more PC games where FPS rules.
I recall Doom 2 or was it Quake that really make co-op play fun.
Tribes v1 was and is the best online sci-fi multiplayer game of all time, in my book.
Counterstrike is the best online close-quarters combat multiplayer game of all time, in my book.
Halo's story is just another cheezy copy-cat thats been done before. Every movie does it, where 1 super-solder or 1 guy stops an entire armada or invasion.
If they play tribes, they would know that wars are not won by 1 guy alone but the contributions of teams.
Ok, douche. MC is one guy stopping the covenant, but he is not stopping the invasion. The rebellion that happens in the game makes it so its not him vs everyone, its the two sides becoming equal. PLAY THE GAME BEFORE YOU COMMENT.
I cant think of a single modern game story that screams generic as much as Halo does.
I palyed through both Halos and its pretty much a story about a shallow super soldier shooting aliens and throwing out one-liners. these aliens are invading earth... how original. That pretty much sums up 50% of all fps's ever made.
No I have not bothered with the books... and they have no place when we are talking about videogame stories. Other wise... EA's lame LOTR games and that old Starwars Pinball game would be praised for its story!
AntiType
Well, for starters, the SPARTANS were just shallow super soldiers. Damn, i wondered why they called them spartans...HMMM
Next, the story is deep, even if u do not read the books. Much of the story remains hidden, but alot of it pops up if you have half of your brain cells intact. Introduction of things such as the grave mind change the story a huge amount, not to mention WHY the covenant is attacking earth and why they are all different species. It has a deep story, it just doesn't spoon feed you, which in this modern time is neccesary it would seem.
[QUOTE="akatsuki0wn3d"][QUOTE="RoyTheViking"]1 or 2?
I might rent them next weekend.
Episode_Eve
the first one, it was WELL worth the 20 bucks I spent on it. Im getting the second one at greatest hits. (Im willing to wait)
If you liked GoW, part 2 will blow you away even more.
Part 2 had a horrible ending, just like halo 2. Both of their endings go with a finish the fight thing that just upsets me. It builds you up so much, then says TO BE CONTINUED. Amazing game...but the ending:evil:
xbox360 = bleeding wound for micro, it may be a small wound but did micro become successful by supporting projects that lose money? its not their nature and they will indeed get out the console business sooner than later. same thing with sony and ps3. now is that simple enough to understand kids?icecream76239
That is the most retarded thing i have heard on this forum. ALL companies gain money by going into places that do not start off successfull, it takes money to make money. Microsoft took a risk with the operating system (read how it started), and it turned out being what made it huge. Then its line of joysticks that sucked, its mouses, and a whole load of other things. It is in the nature of business to support projects that loss money in the hopes of a better time later. Is that simple enough for u to understand, or do you have to go back to your grade 10 business class?
[QUOTE="dumfart66"]Damn kiddy, deleted it before i could respond.
Microsoft has about 48 billion in profits, that is more then 30 times nintendos. What does that mean? That it can bleed for ALOT longer then nintendo, and beat it out in the same way walmart beats out small town stores.
Hater3000
Yeah but that money didnt came from the x360,in fact MS is loosing money thanks to the x360.The x360 division doesnt seem to have a shinning future.
The 360 is not LOSING money anymore, its just not making as big a profit as they wanted. They are still in the black

"Unfortunately, while Microsoft's operating system demand was robust, revenue at its entertainment and devices division sagged like a perforated, unheated hot-air balloon during the quarter. The sector, which incorporates the company's Xbox 360, Games for Windows, Microsoft Game Studios, and Zune businesses, saw quarterly revenue slide 21 percent to just $929 million."
still making something.
[QUOTE="dumfart66"][QUOTE="Corvin"]For 2% of the owners of X360.[QUOTE="Tony-Baxter"][QUOTE="Corvin"]I like my 360 but I'd say feeling the need to worry every time I turn it on that its going to give me the ring of death is a pretty major argument against.Corvin
Come on, you don't actually believe its only 2%.
Come on, you don't actually beleive its over 2%.
That would spawn this magical thing called a ****action lawsuit for faulty hardware. Atleast, it would in countries with LAWS.
Who says there won't be one?
The fact that if their was a huge malfunction that people would be jumping on this "omg free money" band wagon a.s.a.p. You think lawyers would give up this oppurtunity? No. Fact is their is not near enough evidence to state it is more then 2%.
