Wii is a fad...

sales like this won't last. Enjoy it while it lasts sheep.

Trading_Zoner

Look at the PS3  It had great sales... for about three days

 and it'll have good sales for the next 10 years

Wii will stop selling well after 2 years and then it'll just dwindle for the next 3 years.

One problem, the PS3 stopped selling well after only a few days, the demand is completely non-existant. How can you fail to comprehend this?

PS3 is outpacing 360 sales.

it is on track to sell 10 Million before 2008.

with a 599 price tag, and just OK games until the end of 2007 that's pretty good IMO. And when it gets a price drop the sales will go WAY up. Especially when combined with games like GT5 MGS4 and FFXIII which will probably come out next year.

PS3 is dead last and thats pathetic when considering how badly they dominated last gen. Stop making excuses... any Sony fanboy should feel ashamed about how badly Sony is currently failing

Breaking news:

Gamefront and Go Nintendo.

- Nintendo is going to hold a retailer meeting in Japan on Wednesday 11th (tomorrow) to show off upcoming games.

- Nintendo is increasing the shipments of Wii in Japan beginning this week. I'm presuming this is a result of the increased manufacture about to hit retail.

- Dragon Quest Swords has been dated for July 12th in Japan (creamsugar says this is from a reliable source and the info has also been posted by Gamefront).

EDIT:
- Also, as an update to the Wii situation, in addition to increasing output from their current partner, FPC, Nintendo is looking for an additional company to manufacture the hardware:

To me ... don't get me wrong or anything it is just a cover up. Lately big companies have been dissapointing me and i just hope nintendo is not doing it again. So this is what i think: Nintendo is saying that they are going to increase supply in order to cover the undeniable truth ... people is not buying Wiis anymore ... so the increasing supply argument will cover up the real thing ... and it will justify why Wiis will be collecting dust in the shelves. Call me skeptical or something, but if all the extra Wiis keep selling as fast as they get them I will apologize for my comment.

Wii's sitting on shelves?

Do you follow media crate or NDP tracking numbers at all?

lmao

I said it before in another thread:

-Nintendo is dominating, while M$ and Phony are fighting over the scraps. They are like homeless rummaging through garbage, while Nintendo dines out on Filet Mignon.

Number_1_Gamer
Thats actually a good analogy because the existing console market litterally is like fighting for scraps while Nintendo is expanding the market and feasting on the rewards.

I saw this topic on SW. It was a crazy party back there lol. I believe we should celebrate one more time here on the Wii thread too... Because finally Nintendo is going to go back to the top, and for a good reason -> Wii rule. gamespot813
I started this topic at systemwars, u have no idea how much commotion its causing over there,
