One thing I'm noticing is criticisms towards the story of the game, which is totally fine.
However, didn't these same outlets praise FFXIII, and recently MGSV as having fantastic stories? Heck, in Gamespot's review of MGSV they actually claimed it had the "best story in the series."
Lol, everyone here is talking about Battlefield 1 and Titan fall 2, and I'm just chilling in the back enjoying DBZ Xenoverse 2. 30 hours in so far and I've enjoyed it more than most games this year. Highly recommend it if you like Dragon Ball and want a version of Xenoverse that is actually good.
1. There is no exact payment method they are demanding. They are asking for royalty rights based on the game's sales performance. It's something TV and movie actors have had for decades now, yet VAs are shafted.
2. 90% of voice acting is not "awful." Not only is that an entirely subjective outlook, but a harsh and criminal over generalization of acting performances as a whole. The artistry behind it is also improving as time goes on. Compare the voice acting in something simple like Mafia 3 to GTA3's and tell me with a straight face that performances haven't improved.
3. Voice acting can be a very stressful and taxing job, especially with physical performances being motion-captured by the VA themselves now. As someone who has met and talked to numerous VAs at conventions, I can safely say that your claim it's "just reading words on paper" is total bollocks. They work very long hours, sometimes 10-12, standing in boothes all day, reciting lines, and now a days are in large rooms filled with props and covered in heavy motion-captured technology for most of the day. Kevin Spacey even commented on how much tougher it was to work on motion capture for Advanced Warfare than it was in any of his dramatic film roles.
I'm not a fan of this franchise at all, but I hope the game is well received by the fanbase. I was a fan of Halo until 4 and 5 ruined it for me. I hope ya'll are happy with th ed new Gears trilogy.
@indioh: My thought would have been a summoner specialist like Nazeeboo, summoning Marines from drop pods, and summoning Duke's battlecruiser or tank as an ult. There's a lot of pictures with him welding a sword, so maybe he'd melee as a basic attack.
