Love how it they mentioned the customer service horror stories. I have one from 2014, my launch PS4 crapped out after one 4 hour use. My PS4 had the disc drive issue, wouldn't keep the discs inserted. So, I call "customer service" for my coffin. Long story short, I get it THREE MFing weeks later and in the interim my Day One X1 started eating discs and I get a new X1 before I got my PS4 back. No shit, 3 weeks just to get a return shipping box, took 4 to 4.5 weeks to get a new PS4 & only 1 week to get my second (of 4) X1. So, in the context if this story ONLY, **** You Sony!

@cvantu: One exception on PS2, it was the leading console, that alone makes a huge difference. Developers will find a way to make their games not gimped on the leading sales platform. As far as PS3, yes it was quite expensive and a bitch to code for but it wasn't underpowered. I should have made my point more precise, next to the Saturn, the X1 is the only other console to have come out with all 3 doom points. Highest priced (at launch), hardest to code for and underpowered. While other consoles have had one or two of those, only the Saturn and X1 have had all 3. Also, the X1 isn't leading in sales either, another strike in having any sort of parity. It's clear MS, after Nintendo, will launch the next console, hopefully by 2019, at the latest. 2018 seems to soon but who knows.

I sincerely hope Nintendo's NX is a performance beast, for console's anyways, so that MS can start the Xbox 4 train a LOT sooner. The biggest problem with X1 isn't that it's underpowered, compared to PS4 but that it's ALSO difficult to program for. The two things a console SHOULDN'T be: underpowered and hard to code for. And they were more expensive at launch, the trifecta of doom, ask Sega how that worked for them on the Saturn. As gamers, we should have parity, not disparities.

I'd be quite surprised if it DIDN'T make 200 million the first weekend. This is the Star Wars movie the public has been waiting for, not the crappy prequels. The only way it doesn't make 200 million is those who want to wait until week 2/3 or 4 when the crowds die down. It'll have legs though just how big this will be has always been the question.

And are you going to tell us water is wet, too? I love my X1 but shit this is old news now. 900P for a relatively smooth experience or 1080P for a much, much rougher one on X1. Maybe Mr. Spencer fixes this on X4? That SHOULD be on the top of what to make Xbox 4.

You mean the Walmart, Target, Best Buy & Gamestop ads weeks ago didn't out this already. I don't want to hear that Sony said it's "official" therefore it's been "confirmed". Didn't hear them deny the leaked ads, so NO, this is just stupid.

@rosinmonkekyx17: Only by $10 bucks AND that's IF you pay full price. The most I've paid for Live is, maybe, $45. PSN, $40.

WTF is this "confirmed" nonsense, any BF ad "confirmed" this weeks ago, WTH Gamespot? That's an atrocious headline, I follow gaming and Black Friday as hobbies and this isn't news AT ALL.

@gokartmozart89: I heard about the manufacturing story, the one story that REALLY makes me think we'll get it next year is the Wall St. Journal story about developer kits out in the field now. Some fly-night gaming site, I may not buy it but the WSJ, that SEEMS legit to me. The launch titles nowadays are nothing more than ports, mostly, anyways. Even the exclusive stuff is never based on final hardware. The U, while a great system has been a sales disaster. Less than 11 million sold, that's a bomb.

Why is the title to buy a Wii U in 2016, when it's to buy it in Holiday 2015? Those are 2 DIFFERENT reasons. Why not buy it in 2015, it's last solo Holiday. You know because it's sexier little brother should be out next year, IF Nintendo is smart but we all know that isn't always the case nowadays.
