Nintendo has created it's own circumstances thru out the gaming landscape. They paved the way for the Genesis, the PSX and their subsequent failures. I truly believe if not for their portables and Pokemon, they would have gone out of the hardware business.
I wholeheartedly agree that MS should have started their X1 reveal on games first but they did end it on CoD Ghosts. The other thing that has hurt MS is that X1, while a good console, is NOT a graphics powerhouse as it's 2 prior siblings were. That's my biggest gripe about the X1, it SHOULD be a more powerful system. Thankfully this misstep should correct itself on Xbox #4.
@marcusi23: But your argument is based on semantics, it doesn't matter what order each has presented the TV option, they both HAVE it. This is my point, more Sony friendly people think this is okay but killed MS for doing it for X1. It's the same on both. Why is it okay on one but not okay on the other? This is human behavior 101, we jeer for someone/thing but are not consistent when that which we support does the EXACT same thing.
Legit question, why is it Sony does everything the same, non gaming, as MS but in a slightly different way and there is no major criticism towards them? Isn't the X1 a cable box, they say but yet Sony has TV and exclusive programing too. Why isn't the PS4 a cable box too? Is it because it has more lines of resolution? The hypocrisy of us gamers never ceases to amaze me. I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of us have smartphones, they do FAR more than phone calls.
@UnrealPro: For me, to get the new Elite bundle. $250 for a game, extra regular controller, the new Elite controller and an updated version of the X1. I'm on my 4th X1, more than the 360, so my hope is the Elite ones are better than the early units.
