@Tony Nox They could give you the regular $25 for a new game. Plus if you're a multiplayer kind of gamer, familiarity with maps, mechanics, and the game in general help you out, so some people will be willing to get them early even if Gamestop wasn't doing this, they are just trying to entice more to do so, I think it's a savvy business plan and will be successful. On top of all that it will help the publishers and developers who worked hard on said games to earn more cash. Just because you're not going to do it doesn't mean it doesn't work for someone else, hell One Direction sells records! Anything is possible at this point.
@ziggyww You forget about the HDMI pass-through as well as the Bluray drive. That means it does more than play games. Plus you have to imagine that over time developers will make better looking, higher resolution games on it too and it'll come in handy for those who can afford it.
@MatrixGamer78 I remember all the MS supporters saying the same thing about Sony around the time of e3 because of all the negative and trolling news. They make money off of hits to their posts, they will publish whatever gets them the most hits, not what is relevant. Move to another site if you're sick of crap like this or just don't click on it.
@fbgbdk4 Why do you care? Are you a stock holder? If so you need to get your news elsewhere. If not, both console will be fine and sell, both companies have invested too much to see them fail. Plus competition is good, keeps prices down, makes them want to innovate. Focus on games not console sales.
@spindie @Sirdats Agreed. Xbox1 looks like my grandmothers VCR with shiny polish. And the PS4 like something out of a bad 80's movie, set in the future. But in the end I've never looked at my 360 not PS3 and said, "Man that really completes my living room!"
