@SauhlGood @AzatiS @e424pd5 @Vertente I used to be a PC gamer but I am the kind that buys a new $300 card every year, not to mention everything else I would upgrade. It just got too crazy. So I buy a console and play it for 7-8 years until the next thing comes out.
@Dienheart @e424pd5 True it's not 100% but I have never gone past 24 hours without an internet connection. And being a PC gamer too, I haven't had problems with steam or anything of the like. If I lose internet for more than a day, I'd say it's because of some big natural disaster and I should be worried about bigger things than playing video games. In addition I think Sony did the Eye a disservice by not being invested in it. Sometimes you have to go all in to get the most out of a product.
They didn't forget about the hardcore, they tried something different and the hardcore bitched about always online......while posting online.......and then pre-ordered Destiny (cause that makes sense). Everyone tends to forget it's a business. MS as well as Sony only care about your dollars, nothing else. If Sony didn't think that keeping the same old routine with updated graphics, while bad mouthing MS's policies would work and gain support, they would have followed down the path that MS was going on. Sony didn't "care" about the hardcore, they saw it as a way to gain profits. After all Sony was planning on shipping with a Eye with every PS4, but at the last minute at E3 pulled out of that so they could lower the price.
@ThrashMatt26 @e424pd5 I didn't say they did it only to make exclusives. That's the business model once they saw Sony was not investing in anything like it. At one time they did have the Eye packaged in but back away right at E3 so they could talk trash and grab headlines. Now who's the asshole? They always wanted them to create things for the Kinect 1 but it was a hard sell when a small amount of gamers use it and so much more could have been done with it so they decided to be fully invested now and make it so everyone has one.
The reason there isn't a Kinect-less version is because they want it to be a viable edge and a more enhanced experience. Developers have a tough time validating money spent on features for Kinect 1.0 and the PS Eye 1 & 2 because a small percentage of players own one and it's not a selling tool. MS is making so they will implement features into games cause 100% of people who own a X1 will have it and if it's a neat feature, even the haters who have it in their closet will try it out, because they own it anyway! I'd be willing to bet they have tricks up their sleeve to have developers make content that you won't get on PS4 simply cause Sony isn't invested in it. Sony is staying in the past. We all know Nintendo isn't scared of change and at least MS is willing to take chances.
