@Superzone Also if gamers stopped the resale of games, so developers earned more money, instead of giving that cash to Gamestop. They would also have more incentive to not only make a better, more complete game but also add in content updates for free.
Remember when Epic gave away DLC, Cliffy B saying they were sticking to free DLC, then they went to a console heavy strategy? Boom! Pay for DLC everywhere in their titles. Why? Because almost all the PC games being played (obviously there are illegal copies) were purchased new and they had higher revenue percentages.
@Superzone That's also when a game didn't cost $23 million to make. They have to make up cost somehow. $70 game disc or getting the foolish or rich to pay for this crap? I'll take the ladder.
@zeca04 @e424pd5 They have microtransactions in Uncharted. Paying for quicker leveling or paying for gloves. It's still pointless and a way for them to make more money.
@Judas923 @e424pd5 I never said it was magic, just that MS is using it this next gen for more than chat and matchmaking (which Sony used as proof that PS4 uses the cloud). Allowing developers to use these servers to compute things that directly reflect the game make it more powerful, that is fact.
@Pirate700 @4le_breVVer Eh, not by much. Plus one could argue the extra computations being done on the cloud could give X1 an edge, like in Watch Dogs.
Dominic Guay, producer for Watch Dogs, "the Xbox One version of Watch Dogs will have a more dynamic city."
