The expectation of a really high price tag is gonna do wonders for the Scorpio when it launches at $399. Might even fare well at $499 if everyone is speculating a $599 price-tag; by comparison anything less would seem like a steal. The "premium" moniker might be a very transparent strategy to rationalize the presumed high cost but is not a foolish one.

Lack of games is par for the course for a launch system. I enjoyed the shit out of my Switch for a little over a month because of Zelda but craiglisted it after i had my fill. I knew the upcoming line-up was not my cup of tea. Yeah i could have purchased a wii-u but the price is still close enough to Switch without that re-sell value. Will probably buy again for the next Zelda if retains or refines that BOTW formula.

Kinda needs to be $399 if if wants to compete and not just be a niche product and it has a very realistic chance of hitting that price point. The omission of Zen allowed this. I'm sure ms is prepared to take a small loss or low profit per console for the immediate market share gains that sweet $399 tag will allow.

What are the chances of a $399 price tag? Seems in the realm of possibility, perhaps even in MS's best intertest.

With me it was more of just a long shot hope that they delayed with the newer parts to differentiate themselves more from the ps4/pro. I personally wouldn't have minded a 2018 mid summer launch as an example.

Don't even remotely know why i would be butthurt, i haven't purchased a mid gen console yet, was looking forward to a new gen one though. I can wait further but if i were to choose i'd probably go with the stronger one. Stop projecting insecurity, just cuz i don't fellate the bone like you and get triggered if someone doesn't whisper sweet nothings into year ear regarding ms doesn't mean that im don't like it. Grow some thicker skin, internet can be a harsh place.

Such a wasted opportunity, its basically a ps4 pro with an extra year in the oven. Literally what the pro would have been had it released in late 2017. This needed a delay and better hardware. Like 2 rival dealers buying from the same supplier, they get the same shit that's available at the time. Ima still buy it though, here's hoping it has a small form factor.
