Listen to someone from New York City. Then go and listen to some dude from the rural areas of Texas. They sound different. I'm sure you could youtube it or find some other source if you don't believe me.

[QUOTE="Mikey132"]

[QUOTE="eXdout"]American revolution 2.0 = 2012? No, but seriously, there is unrest in America. If the economy doesn't fix itself (because that stimulus bill won't do anything, we all know it.) soon, then there could be major reforms, either liberal or conservative. I don't think a actual revolution would occur. While typing this tho, an interesting question popped into my head : If there was a revolution/uprising in America, what role would the military take up? Support it and follow it's ideals, put it down at the government's request, or neither?jimbojones_sw

I think the Military would probly hold up the will of the people if it's strong enough in such a case. That happened during the Russian revolution in 1918.

What's the will of the people though? They don't even understand what's going on

The will of the people is whatever the people want. Our government is for the people, by the people. So technically if the people feel that their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are being violated, a revolution is acceptable. Actually, it says it is a right in the Declaration of Independence. http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm

To survive it as long as you can. That, and doing what makes your short time here enjoyable.

your right, we need to drill for the oil we already have here in alaska and offshore.shoeman12
Drill what we have, there's no point in letting it sit in the ground if by the time we do drill it, all our technology doesn't need it.

Well here in the US, I think that it will be at least 10 years before the government actually does any sort of dramatic action. The problem is, there are many solutions like you said, but not all have been tried and tested enough to be accepted by the population. Those hydrogen cars really aren't that cheap yet. In addition, I think Americans are more stubborn to energy change than Europeans. We still run mainly on coal, (not that coal is evil, just its been around for a long time) and only our freight trucks run on that new diesel fuel that a lot of Euro cars are running on.

Basically anything about them, which have you experienced, severe or minor, and why people do it. I listen to a lot of metal music, so people in my school make some assumptions that just aren't true about me. IE: the whole "metal heads don't get good grades" thing, people are usually surprised at my 3.5 GPA. So go ahead guys, share your stories. -off topic- I have been reading around here for awhile and decided to start posting after reading the topic about how this board needs more serious discussions.
