I'm a moderate fan, they have some good songs.

1) Split Screen - Don't let them in hardcore. I personally love it, my friends and I have so much fun.

2) Vehicles -Make a game mode like ground war, which has more people, and plays only HUGE maps. Put vehicles on those, then everyones happy.

3) Perks - If you want a super realistic experience, join the army. Leave them as is, maybe tweak them to balance the new ones. BTW martyrdom should be used only used if you have a grenade. But it can also drop 1 of your specials if that is all you have left.

If with a small group of people, a short bus filled with supplies, and a large tank of fuel to fill up several times. Assault weapons, like the p90 with the silencer listed earlier. If alone, a small airplane with autopilot that flies low so I can shoot at them with a MG, I would need the high RoF to make up for the low accuracy.
