A Switch Pro will probably be out of date (again) by the time it releases. The Steam Deck is where you need to be because that is the hardware of choice right now.
On top of that, by the time Nintendo get their act together, Valve will already be looking at releasing a Steam Deck 2 & I have no doubt that it will be something pretty damned special.
A Switch Pro already has it's work cut out to match what the Steam Deck offers but I think it will have to be something monumental to equal what I think the Steam Deck 2 will offer but we shall see.
This looks like it leans heavily into what NFS Heat already established, which was already a pretty awesome game imo, so it's not like Criterion 're-invented' NFS but it is a decent experience. This Hip-Hop vibe seems really dated to me & feels out of touch & unnecessary. The narrative is just meh but the game world itself looks really great. A good diversity of locations & it feels like a large world.
@kaki: Absolute BS. Elden Ring is a masterpiece and eclipses BOTW on so many levels. What planet are you on? lol.
You need to read up on what people think of this game. It's universally accepted that is is one of the greatest games of all time, so if you think it'll be forgotten anytime soon, you need your head examining.
Should be interesting to see what the Nintendo direct offers but I can't say I'm that bothered about this new BOTW game if I was honest. Elden Ring is the new king of open world gaming as far as I'm concerned and that is the new gold standard for me, especially on the Steam Deck.
I'm more interested to see if Nintendo reveal/give some info on a Switch successor but it's going to have to be something monumentally spectacular to come even close to what Valve is offering but whatever the case, it's going to be a really interesting 12 months for gaming. So much going on.
