@Gelugon_baat: Yeah agreed. Free to play is not appealing to me at all. I like to buy games that give me value from start to finish without nickle and dining me the way through it. New age gamers that don't know any better buy up all that shit.

Maybe they ran into problems with moders of dead island hacking their game/livelihood. If moders what the freedom to alter games even without developer consent then they need to go ahead and make their own game. Especially these days when games are part of a larger online communication system and important data can be compromised.

@nini200: QFT. Game design ideas and fun fuctional games is what it's all about.That's my excuse for not upgrading my pc for the longest time. Last time I attempted was to be able to play dragon age origins back in 09. After realizing that most AAA games are now designed with consoles in mind I realized it wasn't worth it for me. I still haven't seen something like the gtx 980-970 or titan be fully optimized for games. Third parties go to lengths to fit pc gamed on home consoles, yet they don't take the same effort to push the latest pc hardware, that's bull to me.

Don't have a wiiu yet. Would love to hear opinions from people who played it. I'm curious if it's more similar to Melee or Brawl

This year is looking great for all systems ( except vita) through multiple game genres. Not surprising since 2014 was mostly barren. Maybe it'll give me the excuse to finally fork cash and get the next gen systems.

Nintendo does try to innovate more, even if I didn't like the WII much. The Gamecube is hated by many, but it's hands down my favorite console as far as aesthetic factor is concerned. It looked weird and epic, had a cool logo intro, and I loved the mini-disks they used to go with cube compact design. The library was very solid. If I had to rank my overall best home consoles it would look like this:

1 PS2 (amazing game library hands down)

2 N64 (Legendary exclusives, many memories with local multiplayer and Rare)

3 NGC (classic games, under-rated)

4 PS3 (Best Gen7 console)

5 SNES (the most legendary 2d games of all time, come at me sega bros)

Historical sales figures for third party games on Nintendo home consoles, and the fact that Nintendo ignore third party games completely to shine the spotlight on the first party tittles. Historically it seems Nintendo treats third party as second class citizen. Nintendo has the legacy, the games, the fans, if they only helped integrate other publishers and developers into their business model like it was in the golden SNES days they would stomp Sony and Microsoft and leave them behind. They have a habit of missing good opportunities lately, especially with the huge cash they made last gen with DS/WII, and the previous as well with the GBA/GC

You need to go outside, take a breath, then come right back and delete this shit thread. When I play games like Ocarina Of Time and Shadow Of The Colossus both of which tend to play at 20 fps most of the time I have a great experience as if I was playing them for the first time. Video games are video games bro, and you can enjoy them on any device from a super computer to a pong machine. Games will always feel fake and meant for fun regardless of how realistic they are drawn. A lot of PC idiots like you act like games are only playable at top of the line visuals to the point they dismiss any game that doesn't involve state of the art PC hardware and techniques. The consoles are priced at a fair price point and consoles in the past were priced similarly. Yes PC has a significant visual advantage, and all of us that have played PC versions of games can agree with that. But that doesn't mean the console version of games are unplayable or that console exclusives from the big three are unplayable either. It's a dumb argument.

@Bread_or_Decide said:

At WORST the season pass should include those two additional monsters.

Why are they so damn expensive? I wouldn't pay $15 for most full priced online games let alone something like this. $2.99 each is more reasonable.

There's no rhyme or reason to what DLC should cost. Additional characters? Levels? Maps? Entire games cost the price of ONE monster in this game. How is that comparable?

It's absurd. Some people will bite though and that's probably Activision's mindset. Didn't they try to do something similar to Destiny? Ubisoft, EA, Crapcom, Activision, and SquareEnix should get together and jerk each other off.
