I liked the music in it the best. The gameplay looked pretty decent too, I'd definitely give it a try if I had a 360.

The game looks pretty average anyway. Does it have splitscreen?

Besides, Sony has their exclusives in order. The PSN is shaping up quite nicely. The technology is there... and the PS3 is fine. I dont know why they would skip a generation just because they've taken a bump this generation.

It's not too late for Sony at all... heck, that statement alone makes me wonder where you've been most of 2008. :| (No offence)

No offense as well, but where have you been?

1. I seem to remember Sony losing a bunch of exclusives to MS.. i could probably name them if you want. They need to get this in order and protect those lucrative IP's. Try again.

2. Agreed, the PSN is shaping up nicely, but still nowhere near XBL. Their back catalog is enormous too... why no PS2 games Sony?

3. Yep, technology is there, but I hear it is tough to develop on their platform. They are also passing on the high manufacturing costs to the consumer. (even though I still think it's a great value).Only time will tell, right?

Is the PS3 fine? Eh.. maybe, but they're nowhere near being in a dominant position like they were for the last couple of generations.

On a different note.. Sony has lived up to their reputation of superior quality, which is why I'm sticking with them.

I don't think you fully understand what is meant by a 10-year lifecyle.

I know what they mean, but if you think the PS3's success can even remotely match that of the PS1 or PS2.. you're deluding yourself.

Like the topic says... what would be the pros and cons of this strategy?

I think the benefits from the built in HDD and blu-ray could keep the PS3 afloat for at least a couple years after the launch of the 720. On that same token, the 720 will probably have like 2 gb of memory, vs. the PS3's 512mb (or 256mb..), and a much better cpu/gpu. The PS3 would not be able to compete with the cutting edge games of the 720.

However, the extra time would give Sony an opportunity to get their exclusives in order, build up the PSN, perfect their technology.. then blow everyone away with PS4. The playstation brand has been completely overshadowed by the Xbox this gen, so they will need something extraordinary next gen to get back on top.

I don't believe that the PS3 will have that 10 year lifecycle, but I think they can still salvage some of the promises they made. I'd like to see them wait it out, turn a small profit with the Ps3, study the 720, then come back with something amazing. Hopefully it's not too late for Sony.

Thoughts?

If you're talking about Gamespot.. then I'd say Wipeout HD. That game is insanely fun.

What's so hard to believe? It's still a port, is it not?

[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]very strong score. but I'd rather play Motorstorm 2. just for the variety of vehicles. ATVs just don't do it for me. Semis and buggys do, however.BZSIN

This, plus no splitscreen in Pure = fail.

Agreed... massive mistake.

I agree with the TC... there is something about KZ2 that sets it apart from the so-called "graphic kings" like crysis. The art direction is phenomenal.
