how are you connecting the ps3 to your t.v and speaker

well if you are using the av plugs it probably means

there is electrical interference or you need a new cable

i doubt it is something wrong with the ps3 it just the cable

try placing your ps3 horizontal that way dust

does not have the help of gravity to reach to all the consents

okay some replies okay fist thing first

missing a wifi card does not mean no Internet you can still hook it up with a cable i personal dont think that will be hard

the range of g wireless is not that big so you are not really missing out by using a cable.

second you can buy an adapter to use wifi if you really need it while if you want backward capability there is no adapter avalible.

third i don't think Sony discontinued the 20gb because of sales it was because the 40gb was cheaper to make and using wifi gave them allot of unnecessary addons they can brag about

i think there is something wrong with the router and the playstation 3 and the router connecting most likly the sucurity or wifi type on your router. go to scan and see if ps3 sees you router and post back

soory i over looked that each game requires about 5 gb (i thought it was going to be 1gb to 3gb since ps2 was lees than 1mb)

. but the main idea of this form was to see who agrees that backward capability is better than wifi

but if the 20gb upgraded its hard-drive 40gb for 50$ more do you think it should be continued

i am starting this form cause i think the 20gb modle should be continued insted of the 40gb because

it haves backward combilliy and 4 usb input making it an ideal in my preseptive even thou it lacks wifi is wifi really a big deal

here is how i anlise the advantages of the 40gb againt the 20 gb

online shopping, chatting and browsing .......... it better on a computer

downlading demos and ps1 games.................... i would chose playing ps2 games anyday

40gb harddrive.................................20gb of space is good enough for installing and saving games leave movies for p.c and dvd

online playing....................... none

now i am not saying the 20gb modle is for every one but it is a good deal for basic playing and some people who demand the luxury of wifi and a big hard drive can buy the 80gb modle insted

but gta really is not a mission game most of the time i am just going on rampages

and if you don't like violence or shooting games PlayStation is meant for you cause most of it blockbusters are violent games

hint: get a Wii and stick with Mario
