I really enjoy Overwatch, but I'll admit, I don't care at all about a story. It seems to have no effect on the gameplay. Besides, what good is a story with character relationships when you have the same characters being used by both teams?
@Random_Matt: nintendo needs to seriously step it up with making new games!! it is pretty sad when we're talking about what games from older systems we'd want to re-purchase on this new system...
@tom_cat_01: Yes, All You Need is Kill is a much better title. That is what the first should have been called. Then, they could've come up with something pun-ny for a second film. I'll leave coming up with that title to someone much smarter than me.
@spartanx169x: interesting, but i must politely disagree. if game companies didn't allow parties because they're afraid of player harassment, why even have the option to create parties? imagine trying to play Overwatch with randoms only. if bots are no better than strangers, why bother having online multiplayer at all? it is also a big misconception that if you want to play with randoms, that means you want to harass them. having played with and without parties in many games online, i've yet to experience any bullying or harassing particular players. as of the current state of MK8D's online capabilities, I don't see harassment as being an issue either, especially because there isn't any in-game communication. I race against my friends because I want to have fun and win, and I want to race strangers with them because bots generally are awful. one last note, it is presently possible for friends to join each other in MK8D online, it is just a huge pain the butt because someone has to join a match, and the rest have to wait until there's space to enter.
Can someone from Gamespot investigate the horrible match-making in MK8 Deluxe? It is incredibly difficult to play in a public match with friends. You either make a friends room and play with or without bots, with no way to go as a group in a public game... Very disappointing.
Never happy to hear about anyone losing their job, but I can't say I feel sorry for the company GameStop. Forget the endless complaints about non-game merchandise (i.e. funko pops) or the constantly way-too-expensive used games. I get frustrated because I can't actually find any first-party peripherals! All they seem to have is biogenik (sp?) crap. If I go to any brick and mortar store, I end up going to Best Buy, surprisingly, to find what I'm looking for.
