@Xristophoros: Yeah that's what I was referring to. I mean, in the ad it says play NES games anywhere so probably they will in fact have them available offline, but still no specific mention on that matter.
@Xristophoros: Super Mario Run needs a permanent Internet connection so I thought it could have been the same case for these games since they have online functionality. I'd rather play them offline anyway.
This game was a 9 when it was a 6 on wii u (arguably the outlier among what were positive reviews for this game... the reviewer said it was too hard.. lol). This is the second best dkc after dkc2 and has one of the most underrated soundtracks I've ever heard (Dave wise... same guy from the first two dkcs), the music alone makes this game much better than what it already is. If you have a Switch and missed this one on the Wii U... buy it, don't even think about it. It's 100% worth it.
Maybe they go the Street Fighter V route and release a half-baked game with 8 characters and very few modes and then they release more content as time goes by. If it's a new game, that's the only way I could see them pulling it off.
@Redfoot123: It looks Sakurai himself is working on it however so it's likely Sora again, or maybe they are co-developing it? who knows. This is what he said on twitter (using google translator) "I am still at the stage of just announcing the title, but I keep silent and working day by day. Please wait until the time that content can be released or released (sic)."
I think the last 2 turtles series (2003 and 2012) established that all the different versions of the TMNT are part of a multidimensional universe I'm which the turtles from the original comics are in the center of this universe. This is just another "dimension" that I totally expect to have a crossover with any of the previous versions of the turtles at some point and when that happens, they will make fun of the fact that raph is the leader.
