Still from 2024 and this is just the obvious that Sony is moving away from exclusives as well and most PS games will come to Xbox and PC

Erm, no. They were talking about the game worlds and the characters. They were designing characters that look like they fit their fictional worlds, and reflect the backgrounds and personalities of those characters.

I find her a bit indistinct, frankly.

I know what they're going for; I have contacts with a lot of game devs, and a recent trend in game character design is making characters that, quote; "fit their worlds, and reflect their backgrounds and personalities." Aloy from the Horizon games is a direct product of this design philosophy.

So to me, the trailer seems to be going for a "badass, pragmatic, spacefaring bounty hunter," and yeah, she does look like a badass, pragmatic, spacefaring bounty hunter. I just wish she has a little more flair to her. Still, maybe there's a story reason to it, I dunno. Too early to judge from just one trailer.
