I've always found it funny supporters of this slop always use the incel argument when most of them are soy ridden virgins in their moms basement white knighting for some multi billion dollar corporations god awful character design.

If you had any experience in the real world there's a concept of " market research " where you actively seek who your audience for these types of games usually is. For triple A action/adventure games it's going to be mostly men. Men generally want to play as other men or attractive women. You don't have to agree with it, you can call it juvenile but that is just the reality of the situation. I personally prefer to play as men because as someone who grew up in combat sports and loving action movies I have never looked at women as to fight my battles for me and the concept of a girl boss bad ass is honestly silly to me and over the past 10 years it has been over done.

The reality is if I asked you to name me the most popular video game characters of all time they are going to be either bad ass attractive men, beautiful women or a charming cartoon character. You can bitch at people for having this opinion but it is apparent by looking at recent failures and like to dislike ratios this pushback is now coming from the majority.

The devs have the right to make what they want to make and the players have the right to buy what they want to buy. But don't be surprised if this game is a commercial failure.

This game is DOA.

It honestly looks like the singleplayer mode of Concord. The main character looks like she would fit in with the cast of Concord perfectly. I think that alone is going to hurt it.
