Can vouch for the 7750.

Whether you use mouse and keyb or controller, the driving was a bit taxing at first, but once you get the hang of it and drive the nicer cars it was pretty sweet!
I'm looking to get a birthday present for my sis, both of us are primarily PC gamers but grew up with the SNES, N64 etc. I've been living under a rock so to speak console wise so I was expecting Pikmin 3, Windwaker, Rayman etc to already be out but there are like 5 games in the Wii U section of my local game shop. I'm fairly neautral when it comes to console wars, but is the Wii U failing? Should I skip it and buy a 3DS XL instead? Cheers for the help!
Got this on steam due to the sale, even after a few years its still an epic game, runs really well on modern machines. Really highly recommended.
I would also recommend the ti. I have the asus 650ti and I really couldn't fault it for the price, definitely worth saving a few extra bucks for much better gpu IMO. Good luck!
I just built a couple of budget rigs for some friends that had i3 3220's and an asus gtx 650 ti, 4gb ram. Have been able to play every game I've thrown at them at 1920x1080 at high to ultra, so if you're on a budget the i3's are a great choice. Plus you have the option of saving money later and upgrading to an i5/i7 at a later date if you want to further futureproof your rig.
I did something similar with an older athlon 64x2 system I had a few months back. I installed a 7750 into it and whilst I did notice an improvement, I wasn't huge. So I ditched the cpu, got an i3 3rd gen mobo and ram bundle, with the 7750 and the change was immense. Hope that helps and good luck!
The 7750 yields decent performance for a cheap card, and it doesn't require extra power so a plus point if you're worried about an older PSU. The 7770 is also a good bet if you can spend the extra money, or even better save a teeny bit more and get the gt 650ti. Not sure about dollar price but in UK the 7750 is around £80, 7770 £100, and 650ti at £120. All of them will play current gen games pretty well :)
thanks for the suggestions, it has a Corsair 500 watt psu and I'm not sure about the case, just a big generic from maplins. I decided to with the mobo/cpu route as it felt more future proof, managed to find an i3 3220, 4gb ram and asus p8h61-mx mobo for £150 exactly. I know the mobo is a budget one but again i dont need it to max out games just make them playable, and ill upgrade the card at a later date!
