@Coren_Larken @dannyodwyer @19James89 Super Wii > Wii U but still probably a better naming convention to call it something else entirely unless you're going to go the Sony route and up the number with each new hardware iteration.
@superhippy420 @MrWhalo @Gegglington They just had the whole year of Luigi and that didn't really help. I can't see a Zelda, Donkey Kong and Bayonetta game alone tripling their sales.
@Starsailor_IT @endorbr @cougar3429 Only in how long or how well a system gets supported. You still have what's available right now and what's slated to release. One can never really say with certainty the future of any product.
@Starsailor_IT @cougar3429 People buy (or should buy) the console that best suits them. Other people's opinions or the "general consensus" are honestly irrelevant when it comes to your enjoyment of video games.
@asulaeagleBut what exactly about the Wii U games coming is set to attract this much needed boost in install base? Enough to save the system... You've got Zelda coming. Okay. That works for Nintendo fans but doesn't really mean much to the mass market. You've got Donkey Kong. That means even less to casuals. It would take something that really gets people's attention back around to Nintendo in a positive way for the Wii U to turn things around. As is now consumer, developer and investor confidence just really isn't there and its understandable. A big part of what moved the Wii the way it did was the gimmick appealed to non-gamers. The Wii U just doesn't have that going for it.
@superhippy420 @endorbr @gamevixxen @horizonwriter To some extent yes. But there are actually a lot of things that they bring that are poised to change the way we play console games over this new gen. What did the Wii U really bring us besides finally catching Nintendo up to last gens HD visuals?
