Yea id say theyre pretty much loosers, whom probably have too much of a weak will and follow their friends in everything... iangrima

Bang on the money there. You clearly know what your talking about and have an extensive knowledge of drugs and the culture that surrounds them. I applaud your insight.

[QUOTE="Arab_2008"]It makes sense that you guys can't read because I clearly wrote MODERN wars!!!Dracargen

Is America the cause of the wars going on in Ireland?

No wars in Ireland these days, unless they're doing it very quietly :P

We've managed to put aside the differences in our society and are currently building towards a better future. That sounds far to much like political nonsense but in this case its actually true.

Anyway, good topic, couldn't agree more. People who blame wars on religion are not only doing themselves a disservice but also other rational atheists who realise that humans are the causes of war not religion

That is brainwashing, whether you want to call it that or not.

No, it isn't. By your standards, anything we teach children is brainwashing.

The same thing goes for us American citizens. We're told only the good side of our government, America the Great!, Freedom & Liberty, as children. We have to make a oath by Pledging our Allegiance in a robotic way to the Republic. We never get the ugly side of history, only the good. What chance do we have to fight this corrupt educational system? Almost none because it is implemented into our very lives as kids and that's what most grow up believing.

What the hell are you talking about? I don't know about you, but I remember learning about America's losses, how many people died, how hard our history has been, and so on. Public schools aren't that horrible.

Same for religion. As a parent, you're only trying to do good by getting your kids involved in an activity that makes you feel better, thinking it'll be good for them too. Now I'm sure they don't mean to, but that there is practically brainwashing since these kids and their vulnerable minds get tossed into the same rhetorical religious behaviour/practice without any real understanding of it. That is unfair.

Yeah, we should also get kids of sports, because their parents are putting them in an activity in order to make them feel better, but the kids are thrown into the same rhetorical sports behavior without any real understanding of it. BRAINWASHING!!!!

Dracargen

Teaching children is not brainwashing, for example, learning to read or write or history is not brainwashing. Telling young, impressionable children that there is an invisible man in the sky who watches everything they do and will punish bad behaviour by sending them to this fiery hell is brainwashing.

I don't think he meant the times america lost battles or war, i think he meant the times america interferred in other countires to the detriment of that country, for example in most of south america. However, i could be wrong about that

Any parent forcing their kid to play a sport that the child doesnt want to play is doing something wrong, no argument there but a child playing sport because its fun and natural for children to play is not wrong

But what about Canada's socialist health care, gun control and other liberal ideals?

For those people who say his POW experience has no basis on how he'd run the country, I'm inclined to think you must be smoking something. Enormous character, courage and integrity in the face of pain and torture that only a handful of US citizens will ever experience, yeah....that wouldn't give him ANY credibility.

The man had a chance to go home early and refused unless his fellow captives could go free as well. You seriously think Obama or Clinton would make that kind of personal sacrifice? Please

MarineJcksn

How do you know that they wouldn't react in an equally galant manner?

Nothing needs proven about macro evolution because there is no such thing.

Speciation has been observed in the galapagos islands in the galapagos finches

Yes variation between kinds, indeed.

They are new species of birds that can no longer breed with each other, thats a new species. I dont see what the problem is. I've given you observed variation (any time a new organism is born) and speciation (galapagos finches)

They are still birds just different types and kinds. Not new species. Just cause certain types can't give birth to another type, dopesnt mean they are new. THey are still birds.

Birds aren't a species themselves. There are different species of birds.

Only by the definition of science. Im going by what i observe.

Ha, what you observe, how scientific. How about dinosaurs to birds, there is a substantial amount of evidence to support this
