360 to get Blu Ray drive

Isn't Blue Ray a product of Sony?

It may be. I'm not entirely sure. But anyone can produce a product to read Blu-ray. Hence there are Blu-ray drives for the PC.

Would be very cool!

I have KOTOR on my PC so im not sure if i would buy it.

If they released KOTOR II for ps3 though, I would mose likely buy that seeing as how I never got the chance to get it.

I wouldn't have thought there would be many possibilities other than what you can already imagine.

The game will be multi-format, as a result it will be hampered by the DvD disc space of the 360. Same as iD's Rage. Granted they could always do multiple discs, but we all know that isn't EAs style.

It'll be a good game. But once again it wont be 25Gb of good game.

talk about a conceded ps3 fanboy. im pretty sure gears of war 1 nor 2 had space issues...neither did mass effect or bioshock or oblivion. the amount of disc space on a blu ray disc is a lot of unnecessary space that wont be tapped into any time soon simply because it would take for too long, development time wise, to fill 25gb worth of game.

i doubt kotor will come to the ps3 however. i think its locked down as an xbox exclusive just like mass effect. i mean this would kinda be like having the developers behind god of war being bought out by EA, eventhough thats not possible as of now, and then god of war going multiplat...just not gonna happen.

I think you and me have really different ideas of what a fanboy actually is.

At no point in my post did I slag off Microsoft's console. I just explained how the media involved in the game would limit the possibilities for the game itself.

And that point is proved to be moot due to news today that the 360 has a Blu-ray drive in development.

If the 25gb of space is a waste why is there a Blu-ray drive commission for the console without it?

Exclusive DLC for any game is pretty dumb if you ask me. I doubt very much that DLC has the same kind of appeal as a whole game, as far as exclusivity goes. Most people will never realise that the 360 is getting extra content. Hell most people don't know its getting exclusive GTA content. An exclusive demo is even worse, as that may actually stop someone from deciding to buy your game in the first place.

But why embargo yourself from buying a certain publisher's games, man? Please not because they may or may not have helped certain people on a website get fired....

EdgecrusherAza

This is a point that has cropped up time and time again.

DLC is not a system seller. I don't know anyone who would turn around and say 'I'm going to get a 360 because it's getting the DLC for GTA4 and TR:U.' It just doesn't happen.

Granted, the 360 is now the cheapest gateway for HD gaming, at it's price-point it's almost attractive. But at it's lowest price point, which is what drags people in, it lacks hard drive space. How is DLC good for the people with limited or no HD space?

MS just like throwing money around. Mirror's Edge DLC is apparently exclusive to the PS3. How popular that will be I don't know.

[QUOTE="joel_c17"]I do agree with you. I think they should start playing hardball and getting more DLC. Its really annoying to always hear that microsoft has all this exclusive dlc and sony is missing out. Makes sony looks like the inferior system and i want dlc for fallout 3!DerMeister90

Mirror's Edge DLC will be exclusive to PS3. Is that enough?

Are you serious??

Absolutely

Most trophies are not retro-active.

Actually, I don't think any trophies are retro-active.

As a result they aren't gained from save files, but by actually gaining the required event.

So, no, your save files will not unlock trophies.

I don't think Mr Diesel will take to kindly to being whitened for the role.

Jason Statham for me. If he could be a bit more butch. Cos yes, Statham is a bad ass. But Kratos is badder.

Plus, Statham is a better actor than Diesel by a long shot.
