Johnny, were you honestly expecting any other reaction from this community? I'm guessing you didn't get a chance to see many of the comments on the Xbox One articles, then.
@aovannor @experience_fade I honestly don't feel the need to argue it any further, because you're arguing logically, and that's not how anyone else was when all of the anger came towards Microsoft.
Look above, at Tuckpoint. He thinks Steam can be experienced without paying for games. Like, you don't have to spend money to experience "Steam."
He also can't seem to figure out that paying for a console (hardware) is why the Xbox One costs money, not for the family sharing. Downloading Steam doesn't come with hardware, last I checked.
People went crazy because they didn't understand anything about it, and that's definitely Microsoft's fault. Even in this video, Kevin and Chris appear to have no clue that they'll need an internet connection to use the feature.
Most people that have commented don't seem to, either. That's why the rage came.
@aovannor @experience_fade You don't find that hypocritical at all?
Xbox One's original policies would literally be exactly the same, hell, maybe even better, because I don't recall there being region restrictions in the X1 sharing games system.
Think about it, Steam already has no used games, and if they require you to be online to access shared library content, in what way (at all) is it different from Microsoft's original policies?
