What the heck, Gamespot?! What the heck?! I finally caved and bought Rome 2 despite the other comments expecting an 8.0 game....stupid AI, graphic glitches, and SLLOOOOWWW faction moves....really a 6.0 rating IMO...and im sure it will eventually be patched in a few months but by then I'll most likely move on to another game...
Maybe this review is spot on. Maybe the AI is accurate and recreates exactly how people hundreds of years ago REALLY behaved during battles. Maybe sunlilght was slightly different or people's eyesight was bad and so the world and textures looked "low res". School just never taught us this stuff...dang ailing public school system!
@TigusVidiks what are those greatest capitalism atrocities you speak of? And I mean atrocities larger than Stalin's purges and concentration camps, Cambodia's Killing Fields, China's Nationalist killings of civilians and forced sterilizations, NK's current human rights violations. ...and yes, there are countries with more restrictions than Australia, and those restrictions are not qualities of true free and open societies (like australia, more like "authoritatian creep").
@Godendag Aspirin is available at the Dollar Store here in Amurica...a nice big bottle for $1.....works just fine. You must be thinking of Communist Amurica instead :-)
does anyone know why the age verification thingy has 2013 as a choice? If a 1-year old baby can log boot up a PC and enter its age I say let him watch the video with FPS images etc...
@ClaudiusCaesar i dunno about that though, looks like the Metacritic score has gone down from a 67 to a 64 ten days after release. That might indicate that the issues go beyond mere connection problems. Design decisions, gameplay features, general disappointment (again beyond the server and bug problems) don't change very much.
@Knievel @exponential7216 They are ALL relevant at the particular time the review is done to the reader/buyer seeking an opinion on the game. So by your logic, we should not even review a game until the FINAL version is release with no more future patches/updates/fixes. That would be the most complete and relevant version of the review.....good job!!
