[QUOTE="mems_1224"] They were the same price in the US when they launched, so Im not wrong. Most people don't think Vita has enough games to deserve a purchase. Thats why I haven't bought one. Why waste money on it now when I can wait and see if it gets any good games and then get it cheaper? Makes no sense, thats just a waste of money to me and many other people. mems_1224

Yes you are wrong. The iPhone 5 launched at $649 whilst the Galaxy S III launched at $599 (despite coming out months before) and I don't even live in the US, Google it.

Owned b*tch.

S3 was $199 with a two year contract and the lowest iphone is $199. The majority of people buy their phones with a contract here. Google it.

I don't give a damn about the "majority". We're going with the manufacturer's handset price. What a pathetic comeback and you're looking like a tool in this thread for being one of those who say there's a lack of games compared to the 3DS on the Vita which is trash.

[QUOTE="mems_1224"] I said when they both launched. I didnt say they launched the same day.....Also, just because the S3 has superior hardware doesn't make it a better phone. The Vita has better hardware than the 3ds and the 3ds is waaaaaay better. So, I still dont see your point. Seems like you're just getting mad over people's preferences and because most people are smart enough to know that the Vita isn't worth the money right now.mems_1224

Your initial point was BS and now your follow up is too. I gave you the benefit of the doubt but you were also wrong about the launch prices. The Galaxy S III launched unlocked at £500 and the most basic iPhone 5 model was £529 at launch 4 months afterwards.

I agree the 3DS games-wise is superior right now, that's why I own one of those also.

No I'm really not, I just don't get people who say for example the Vita has "no games" since in the context of games retailing for £30-£40...is that person REALLY going to spend £300-£400 just on games in one go without the hardware even if the system had say 10 games they liked to make them get one? On top of that it has a some good games considering the fact it hasn't been out worldwide for even a year yet.

Wow you're an idiot then aren't you considering the S3 came out months before...I don't even know what you've just said it's so retarded. Again, the S3 has superior hardware and when the iPhone 5 launched it launched MONTHS after the S3. The dumb point you have tried to make would only stand had both devices launched on the same day...guess what Einstein, they didn't.

[QUOTE="mems_1224"] Maybe because a cell phone is more useful than a vita. i would rather buy a bunch of games than buy the same system twice when that system has no games. also, the only good android phones are usually the same price as an iphone. mems_1224

Wow, that went right over your head didn't it? I wasn't comparing the Vita to a cell phone...I was comparing an iPhone to for example the Samsung Galaxy S III which is pretty much superior in every way and cheaper yet because it doesn't have the Apple logo printed on it, people will pay MORE for less. Fact.

Assumptions, assumptions.

I know you're creaming yourself over the Vita, but do try to understand things from the perspective of other people.

GreySeal9

You know I made a good point.

Look, the main point I am trying to make is that every single person I've shown the Vita to (and a LOT of people on the internet on sites such as this) say how good they think it is device is, great hardware etc. and they always say they will get one in the "future". The thing has been out a year now and those same people are saying the same thing yet in that time they have spent their cash on a hell of a load of garbage in that time.

This doesn't apply to ALL, but to many it does.

You made a good point for some people, but there are definitely people that don't have enough money to shell out for things that are not yet worth it to them. When the Vita is doing better games-wise, then you'll see more people determining that the Vita is worth their money.

I agree with you. I think the library for being a year out is above average, not bad but certainly not great. I just keep remembering how mediocre the PS3 library was after it's first year but I still didn't regret buying one at launch and in the UK it retailed for £425 for just the console alone!

[QUOTE="mems_1224"] that doesn't mean people are cheapskates. it just means they're smarter with their moneymems_1224

How does that make them smart? It makes them cheap. These are the same people who would rather spend $200 extra on an iPhone because it's more "hip" than getting a better Android phone.

I was going to complement you on your sexy dollar screensaver , but the bolded sentences are stupid.

In this economy, people don't have money to throw around, so it doesn't make sense to expect people to shell out for something that doesn't really have much of a library.

Also, the only point that anybody has to have for not purchasing a Vita is that they're not interested.

GreySeal9

lol, people do have money...

Here in the UK for example the amount that people spend on alcohol, ciggarettes etc. in an average week is hilarious yet for the rest of the week they moan about having no money.

Yes they are cheapskates. Money is not really an issue for me especially when it comes to gaming. If I like something, I buy it. Simple.

I view it as the same as people that don't want to buy a sports car due to the "fuel economy" or a certain HDTV due to energy bills...

Well I love it. So much that I have two because I'm not tech-racist.

These both also have 32gb memory cards as well so I didn't cheap out on them.

I understand some views on certain things but what it comes down to is...people are cheapskates.

The only individuals who have a valid point on not purchasing one of these amazing machines is that they genuinely have no desire for handheld gaming but the rest = complete joke.
